It’s a skyway restaurant, so you don’t really come here for the atmosphere, right? Service was excellent. Both the q and the sides were good. You can nit pick here and there, but overall it’s good and way better than fast food.

I pass by this place during my daily walks in the Skywalk. I grabbed lunch here and ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and two sides: Mac and Cheese with Potato Salad. The only thing I ate was the buns and Mac and cheese. The Sassy BBQ sauce was really good. I’m giving only 1 star because the potato salad completely ruined my experience. It tasted like a chemical taste. It was hard too explain the taste but I took another bite and it tastes and smells like a sharpie. I’m not sure if I got a bad batch or if it just tastes like this but I don’t think potato salad is supposed to taste like a strong chemical. As I’m writing this I’m getting bad acid reflex from it.

Their pulled pork was old and tasted bad with a funk in it. This place is dishing out bad meat to their customers. That’s disgusting. The portions were very small as well. Don’t waste your money on this place unless you want to get sick.

It’s located on 2nd floor inside the building, so if you are not from here like me, that’s where it is.

The ladies working today were super nice and helpful.

I got the platter 2 meats, pork and briskets. The flavor was great but the brisket was dry (that’s why the 4 stars). The sassy bbq sauce is great. Buying a bottle to take home with me.

The sides were delicious as well.

I do recommend this place. Will come again when in town but won’t be getting the brisket.

Staff helped us decide what to get and how to get it cheapest. The food was super tasty and I wish I ordered more than I did (I never eat as much as I think I will, but in this case I did). It’s a simple fast food-like ordering and I’ll definitely come again.

Redneck and I have eaten here several times it’s really good and I always eat the potato with pork (the pork is awesome) but for some reason it always comes out cold ( the pork not the potato) which is weird to me. Other wise it’s great place to eat.

its BBQ in iowa. I didn’t have high expectations and it didn’t disappoint. I wasn’t a fan of their burnt ends, but they weren’t terrible. the side portions are generous but the meat looked awful small. sauce was good and service was quick. will I get burnt ends again? Definitely not there. Will I go back and try other dishes? yes. its alright for iowa BBQ, just don’t expect anything close to rivaling the big 4 styles where they’re done well.

From 1-2pm they will be out of all the food. I have gone there 4 times and 3 times they didn’t have any of the food I wanted. They also were on the phones about their plans after they got off work and told me to wait just for them to come up to me and say they didn’t have anything. Poor customer service and they are always out of food. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Picture posted is not of actual food purchased however it’s real Q at its freshest.

I’m an avid BBQ fan living in Tn and I travel all over the United States and Canada. I search out the nearest spot and go for it. This spot I was deeply disappointed when I was making m order. I heard the microwave ding and I asked the girl if she was rehearing the meat. She stated they get their meat from their other location and so they have to reheat it. It’s flash frozen she said to retain the freshness. Let me tell you, the owners of this place… if this is what you consider a proven method for your satellite location I’m sorry your in the business. I too smoke my own meats and catering events back home, people don’t let this place fool you. I’ve cooled plenty of meat, wrapped in foil and placed in a cooler to get warm for up to 6 hours. Opening the meat on the 6th hour and steam came out of the wrapping of a pork shoulder. So many better ways to do this. Keep them warm in a warmer and carve and slice as needed. Your method is producing dried out meat and I’m sure when it’s fresh it’s good stuff. Mac and cheese was good, slaw tasted commissary purchased. Beans tasted like bush’s beans I was told.
I have many favorites across the country and they cook the night before and when it’s sold out for the day they close the doors. I’m tempted to try your other location to see if this too is your method there. I’m posting a picture of my pork shoulder as yours is not worthy to post. I had brisket and turkey, again I hate to say this all but one simple method of maintaining fresh would surprise your locals to wanna spread the word.

We ordered BBQ chicken and they ran out. I wanted a Brisket Sandwich and they didn’t have rolls (Texas toast instead).
OK. But their brisket was excellent and even better on the toast. So that saved the day.
