This a small places that offers delicious, unique, authentic Italian sandwiches and desserts. We read about it last week and tried it today for a late lunch and it was SO GOOD! Both my sandwich and my wife’s were truly exceptional- so flavorful (annd large) and filled with fresh wonderful ingredients. We also picked up a couple of cannolis and apple cake for later (the sandwiches are so large there was no room for dessert in the same meal. So this evening we shared the three treats with a couple of friends and they too were impressed.

Absolutely delicious.
Can’t believe we’ve waited so long to try this place. I adore that the sandwiches are made fresh to order. The desserts were fantastic too. And, the service was quick and efficient.

Such a cute little place! No seating inside but there are several tables outside. The espresso is amazing. My favorite thing there is the focaccia sandwiches, particularly the Serafino and Dino. I haven’t had anything like them anywhere else. Every pastry I’ve had was excellent. The cannoli is mildly sweet but my favorite pastry is the Maritozzo which is a brioche filled with cream. Everything I’ve gotten there has been excellent. The staff are all very friendly and helpful as well!

Caffe Sorrento is a must for anyone wanting a delicious sandwich with fresh Italian cuts of meats and cheeses, delicious cookies, cannolies and amazing freshly made focaccia. There is no seating and limited seating outside. Make sure to get there early before all of the good stuff is sold out. There’s quite a few excellent sandwich choices and make sure to get a slice of fresh focaccia to go.

Perfect place for an Italian breakfast or lunch. I love their pizzitas. We will always be coming back. Here are photos from my moms birthday breakfast.

I came in on a Saturday morning and ordered three items to go- one chocolate chip cannoli, cannoli cake and a bomboloni. The bomboloni was very tasty, the vanilla bean filling alongside the raspberry jam was delicious! I had a huge issue with the cannoli and cannoli cake, however. When I first bit into the cannoli, I very quickly noticed a strange milky taste. It was overwhelming, and not in a good way. When I got home with the treats, my four year-old daughter was excited to eat the cannoli but yet again she had one bite and decided it did not taste good, same thing happened with my husband- both times I didn’t give them any sort of prompt that I also didn’t like it. They both agreed there was an extremely overwhelming milk taste that was very offputting. We ended up not finishing it. The next day we decided to have the cannoli cake for a coffee treat, and yet again we were hit with this milk bomb that left all of our palates almost in disgust. I took one bite and threw the rest away. So essentially I threw away about $15 worth of food. I’m surprised no one else has commented about this, maybe it was a peculiarly bad batch of cannoli filling. Anyway, I would come back, but I definitely will steer clear of the cannolis.

Wonderful. Excellent. Amazing. What else can I say about Caffe Sorento! Authentic as it gets. The focaccia is to die for. I had the Serafino because I love mortadella and it was superb. A perfect focaccina. For desert I tried the bombolone and it was divine. Finally a wonderful truly Italian local experience! Highly recommend!

When visiting Boise, this is a must have. We enjoyed Tony Canolli when they were a food cart. Now we enjoy their brick n motor store. The food/pastry’s are wonderfully Italian. Sandwiches are made fresh. I believe the pastry’s are made daily. They do have a few tables outside to sit and eat.

So wonderful! My friends and I were looking for a dessert place and this lovely little shop came up! On Friday and Saturday nights they just have gelato and a few left over pastries and how wonderfully delicious it was! I have the Cookie Monster gelato and it was absolutely worth writing home about.

We went here on their grand re-opening about 20 minutes before they closed. There was still a line out the door. Everyone working there seemed to be kind and helpful. There were a few things that I think once they’re open for a while it’ll iron out. But other than minor wait time, we were overall very happy with our experience. There’s plenty of parking and a decent amount of seating. We got some sandwiches, cookies, and cannolis.
The sandwiches were amazing! The focaccia was so fresh and sandwiches ate clean and simple. The one with the pistachio pesto was phenomenal.
The sweets were amazing too. I’ll be back there for sure.
