Bustling riverside fish and chip restaurant on Sullivan’s Cove Hobart, offering a great semi-casual dining experience with incredible water views. I ordered the grilled flathead, which was the fish of the day, and it tasted particularly fresh! It was served with a large serving of crispy chips and salad. Although busy in the early evening on a Saturday, the wait time for my meal to be served wasn’t long. Friendly and hard working staff rounded off a great experience.

Great fish and chips. We ordered beer battered flake, three calamari and chips. It was enough to share, as we’d sampled some food at the nearby markets. There is seating inside and outside the eatery. They are licensed and also provide self service bottles of water and cups. The calamari was excellent and the tartare sauce was included in the price.

This is a casual eatery. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table.
Crumbed scallops and chips were very good and a large portion. Hubby had the fish sandwich and while it was good the bun was way too big for the small piece of fish.

Shame they were unable to serve coffee after our dinner as they were too busy. We were having a great chat with friends. Instead we moved to a Cafe nearby to enjoy a 8pm coffee.

The prawns were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. I genuinely loved them, and they were the highlight of my meal. The fish were tasty too.
The staff service was average, but I would not call it poor. The lady serving us seemed a little uninterested or tired, though that is understandable. Everyone can have a bad day, and the place was extremely busy when we visited. The wait time for our order was slightly longer than expected, but again, considering how crowded it was, it made sense.
The location is excellent, right on the waterfront with easy access and beautiful views.

We had such an amazing experience at Fish Frenzy! The food was absolutely incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We ordered the Pier Platter and it was outstanding. Everything on the plate was delicious and beautifully prepared.
The service was just as impressive — super fast, friendly, and attentive. We were there celebrating a birthday, and the staff went above and beyond by coming over to say happy birthday and have a little chat with the birthday person. That personal touch really made the night extra special.

We had been told good things so we were excited to try it out. Everything was absolutely beautiful – chips were fried to perfection with a light golden brown crust. Top them off with copious amounts of salt and vinegar and you are set.
Kids enjoyed the fish & chips and calamari & chips also which they sometimes won’t eat….they scoffed the whole thing here.
I often complain to my other half when we get fish and chips out and about. I’m Irish so I grew up with good fish and chips by the beach. This is only the second time in 14 years in Australia have I said wow that’s just like home we will definitely be back on our trip and future trips.

Came here in 2023 for the seafood chowder and loved it. Came back today and it didn’t disappoint. If you are after unpretentious fresh delicious seafood, with a view to rival the fancy restaurants near by! Can’t beat it. Great food, casual atmosphere and great value! Can’t wait to go back!
