Hauling our camper to a local campground, we stopped at the stop sign, and the smell from Buck’s was amazing. Once I got out camp set up, we drove straight back to pick up dinner. I really was not expecting much as it was a small little spot on the corner next to a gas station, but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is inside. The decor was very nice and welcoming. The owner took our order and sat and chatted for a bit. We ordered sampler platters, got our food, and headed back to camp. The smell of the food in the truck again was amazing. The brisket was tender and juicy with great flavor and a good bark, pulled pork was perfection, the ribs fell off the bone and full of flavor, and the chicken was delicious. We had leftovers somehow, and we hadn’t eaten all day, so portions are quite generous. Seriously, a hidden gem here just off the highway. I didn’t get pictures of the food, I wish I had so you could see how well it was done. Absolutely stop and give it a try.

We came here later in they day and they were out of several things, which is okay. We had the brisket sandwiches and tried the maple glazed carrots, mac n cheese, and baked beans. The brisket was great but the sides were just okay. A little disappointed they didn’t offer chips or fries for a side. They staff was friendly. The place itself was a little odd and disheveled. There isn’t much seating available. There’s a little sitting area with an Xbox and such, I’m not sure why. There is a lot of “stuff” everywhere. There is no public bathroom. They said they were remodeling soon. I’m glad we tried it, the brisket was the best part.

Good place. I got the Pulled Pork Sandwich w/the North Carolina (NC) sauce & Baked Beans. The pulled pork was delicious. The NC sauce wasn’t really a “sauce”. It would make a good rub. It was delicious but very thin. In the future, I’ll try another sauce that they offer; probably the Sweet Kansas City Style. The Baked Beans were good but I think they are Bush’s brand; probably Grillin’ Beans. Overall, not bad. I would give them an 8 out of 10 due to the NC sauce.

Very lovely patio style restaurant. Overly friendly staff, and extremely tasty food.
The smashed potatoes were amazing topped with a creamy cheese sauce.
Brussel sprouts, not pictured – served with a sweet and sour chili sauce that was killer!

Good food, quick and courteous service. Wish I had asked for extra sauce, but got the sampler so I could try it all (and have leftovers). Brisket and pulled pork were juicy and tender. The ribs were delightful!! The chicken was not my favorite, as it was a bit dry. I was impressed with the New Richmond location in terms of service and excellent food.
I will definitely be back. Plus they have a turtle and you can’t go wrong there. Would have given them 6 stars for the turtle.

While this location is the smallest of the two, without an actual dining area, the food was great! We had the brisket with baked beans, smashed redskin potatoes and cornbread, and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. We even got there right before closing time without realizing it and Brian not only served us but let us hang out and eat, because we were on the Harley. I would definitely recommend this place and will be going back real soon.

Absolutely wonderful and accommodating staff, amazing brisket, turkey and pulled pork. All at an affordable price.
Not to mention the prep time is incredibly low and you get your food incredibly fast.
Great hometown feel with really friendly staff, it feels like you’re walking into a friend’s kitchen and getting some amazing BBQ!!

Just bought some property nearby and decided to check this place out. Staff was great. Smoked turkey sandwich with cranberry bbq sauce was excellent. Tried the sampler of Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken. All were moist and delicious. Glad they’re close by! Say hi to the turtle

We had been thinking about checking them out and yesterday we did. What a great experience. Pork Bar-B-Que, with mild sauce, green beans and pickles on the side. Huge sandwich, Good green beans and boy was I full when I got done. A fantastic place to eat. Got ours to go. Will definitely go back. Even had to call brother-in-law to tell him he needs to try it. Also has ribs, and brisket. Hubby is wanting to try ribs next. Friendly people, clean and neat place.

Great little place. Fantastic customer service, good food, average price for BBQ. The meat is top notch. The rolls/bread are made fresh on-site and are amazing. 4 sauces, but only tried the KC Bold, which was good. Hole-in-the-wall feel. Very homey, complete with a couch. Not a lot of seating overall, as the place is small. If I lived close by, I’d make it a regular stop.
