For over 85 years, the company’s name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word steak stood for steakburger. The term shake stood for hand-dipped milkshakes. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business. this place gets better every time we go. we love that the fries are in beef tallow and not those nasty seed oils which are processed with hexane – a solvent.
Anyways – I got the bitcoin burger recently and its just the same burger but they charred the bun with the btc logo. I love that Steak n Shake is embracing healthier options like beef tallow and safer money like bitcoin 😀

Steak ‘n Shake is a great place to relive the 50’s dining experience. While there weren’t any servers on roller skates, the ambiance did take us back. Music from the 50’s and 60’s set the mood. Ordering at the counter then sitting conveys the nostalgic feeling of something new. The service was great Corey was very attentive in making sure everything was correct. The food was delicious, brought out right away piping hot. Just the way I like it. The restaurant was clean which is very important today. I will go back to Steak ‘n Shake whenever I get the chance.

The burgers were reeeeeally greasy like they hadn’t been drained at all, and the fries weren’t hot at all. It was really busy so I could see the burger issue, but the fries should’ve been hot and fresh. As far as the taste goes though, it was as expected. The order was prepared properly and the staff was nice.

I haven’t been to Steak and Shake in AGESSS. I decided to try myself the Garlic Parmesan Cheese steak burger made in Beef Tallow. 10/10!!! It was sooooo delicious! The beef tallow ads a level of fat content to the meat which is sooooooooooooooooo GOOD!! If I had to be completely honest, that burger topped Inn-n-out, Burger King, Hardee’s, Whataburger, Five Guys, Freddys, and Mcdonald’s BY A LONG SHOT!! And an entire meal was LESS THAN 10 DOLLARS!!! Beef Tallow for the win!! If y’all haven’t been in a while I HIGHLY suggest going!!

Worst service ever ! Pulled up to the drive thru all he said was what can I get you, then nothing. I pulled around he opened the window, still no greeting, no smile, said $3.52, then handed me a tiny tiny milk shake. I said this is a considered small, he said yes, and shut the window. Ridiculous! Never again will I visit this restaurant and waste my money and time for unappreciated service and over priced food items . Terrible customer service, and a shameful way to represent a company.

1/21/25 as always everything was great! 3/31/24 great Easter lunch today! Back 2/25/24 and as always everything was good. The Frisco melt, was prepared to perfection. And once again Angele greeted me with a nice smile and hello. Good food, clean restaurant and friendly staff. Manager Angele is great, she makes you feel welcome and goes out of her way to make sure everything is just the way you want it. Wish they would bring table service back.

so out of all the steak ‘n shakes in the Chattanooga North Georgia area this one’s the best by far I’ve been to this one probably it doesn’t times over the last 10 years and every time I go the service the food is better they’re doing it right don’t need it the other ones or the other ones need to come see this one and get their act together

Haven’t been to a steak and shake in years. The food here was delicious and it came out fast. The diner was clean and the workers were courteous and professional. I was the only customer in there at 3pm but other than that I had a good experience.

Let me start by saying the ONLY reason I’m even giving one star, is because the food was good. Albeit really slow to come to us, but we will get to that. I’m going to walk you through our experience.
When we first entered the establishment I noticed they were busy and I was prepared for a bit of a wait. Our hostess was sweet and seated us quickly. It took about 5 minutes before our server even noticed us and took our drink order, we also chose to go ahead and order our food at this time.
It took about another 5 minutes to get 4 waters. Which is understandable, but we required refills while we waited for our food and WATCHED a group of servers stand around the window and chit chat. It took half an hour to get our milkshakes.
The woman who delivered our milkshakes was not our server and one of the shakes came in a foam cup, rather than the tall glass ones. When the diner noted the difference and asked about it, the server got angry, said he got 3 ounces more, and threw our spoons, straws, and napkins down on the table. She then stormed off to LOUDLY talk about how rude WE were.
About 45 minutes after being seated, we got our food. As I have already said, our food was delicious, despite the burgers being a bit cold. In short, we spent 45 minutes, watching paid employees neglect glasses, be rude to diners, and gossip around the food window.
I adore steak n shake, but I doubt we will be returning to this one. Not unless they do a complete overhaul of their employees and implement basic manners training. I don’t understand how they’re still in business with over half of their staff being incompetent and rude.
