This is a modern restaurant with class attached to the Hilton hotel. Niessa was really pleasant and made my dining experience fun. The drink menu is more extensive imo, from a bevy of wines to cocktails and beer. The Ahi Tuna Poke was the most delicious and freshest tuna I’ve ever had. Beautifully shucked oysters will have you ordering more. The Blue Points were my favorite and the Chunu had a subtle aftertaste of green tea that i didn’t expect. Its good place to visit for a fancy night in VA Beach, but make sure your pockets are deep.

This was my second time visiting Catch 31 and I received very good service each time. 12/14/25 I went to the Grinch Brunch and had a good experience. Staff was friendly and the restaurant had great decor. I loved seeing the Grinch with the kids. Food was good; however, I didn’t really care for the Oysters Rockefeller. It was packed with spinach dip and made it really hard to eat.

First time here and honestly it was not bad. The fried calamari was perfectly fried to my liking. I enjoyed the lobster roll which was well portioned and the bread was made just how I liked it. My wife liked her crab cake sandwich and after taking a bite I agree with her. The chocolate cake for desert was delicious if you like it very rich. I will definitely consider coming back when I’m back at the ocean front.

Nice décoration, we walked in on Saturday night around 10 pm, we were immediately seated. The service was fast and there was a dj playing music. We ordered 3 different kinds of raw oysters , coconut shrimp was amazing, calamari and flatbread shrimp, everything was delicious with a nice presentation. Open kitchen so you can see all the seafood prepared.

The kids got MacNCheese were HUGE! Feel like they could share one. My husband got catch of the day (rockfish) he said it was good. I think ordered a wrong thing. Never been a fan of curry, I saw on the menu the snapper dressed with curry (and I ignored it) my thought it’s gonna be like Panang Curry, but it wasn’t. But I finished them anyway, I enjoyed with my martini.
Over all.. the portions are huge!

Our server Harry could not have been better, wonderful service. The food was amazing. Extensive wine list. We are from Maryland and ordered the crab cake appetizer and it exceeded our expectations. My grilled rockfish was perfectly cooked and my husband’s rib eye was good too. Would definitely come back next trip to VA beach.

Extremely dissatisfied in this restaurant. Not only did they not give us several items from our to-go order, but what they did give us was very disappointing. The calamari was mostly breading, and the mahi and the rockfish portions sizes were SO small. The rice that came with them was also awful; I’m not sure how you can mess up rice but they managed. The whole snapper looked like they just cut some slits in it, fried it and called it good. The only reason we even ate it was because we were starving after having to walk all the way back to the restaurant a second time because we didn’t realize they didn’t give us all of our food until after we got back to our hotel. Would not recommend.

This is an awesome restaurant in Virginia Beach. It’s in the Hilton on the boardwalk. 10 of us went for dinner there a week and a half ago. The atmosphere is really nice. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Our server Kamryn had an eclectic personality full of wit and charm. And she worked really hard to serve our table of 10.
We really recommend this place for the quality of the food, the quality of the staff and just because it felt good being there!
