My parents [and other family members] reside in the northern suburbs of Chicago and don’t get to eat good, smoked brisket, ribs, chicken wings.

This is our first experience with City Bbq. We really enjoyed Angie and the rest of the staff, they were so helpful and kind. Angie took her time to explain the menu and help us to make our selection based on our likes. We also really enjoyed the sauce station and other stations that made it easy to get what we needed to take leftovers to go. So smart! We loved pulling up and seeing the smokers and all the wood. Really just let me know that the food would be amazing and it is. 10/10 recommend we’ll definitely be back.

The food wasn’t fresh, it was good, but tasted like it was reheated. My friend and I had the plate with the two meats, I picked brisket and the chicken, the skin on the chiken was wallpaper tough. The brisket was ok but dry. My friend had brisket+ rib, now the rib was the best part to be honest, the bbq sauce that it came with was on point tender moist and flavorful. My wife and I weren’t too fond about the other bbq sauces, because they all had too much of an apple cider vinger taste that overwhelmed each bite. Not the greatest and not the worst we’ve had. I’d give it another run during peek hrs to get it fresh.

Barbecue is an extremely competitive food sector. In my travels, I have had extremely excellent BBQ.

I ordered the More Cowbell from City Barbeque for pickup. The brisket was quite good, though there could have been more of it for the price. The texas toast definitely could have been more toasted. In the future, I would likely just order a beef brisket sandwich and put Kinder’s Hot BBQ sauce on it, though inexplicably, grocery stores in this area don’t seem to sell that that variety.

(An important question is… why does Google list almost everything at this restaurant as costing $0.59? That alone is worth knocking off a star).

As an out-of-town family visiting from Virginia who truly loves BBQ, this was an awesome experience from start to finish. We actually came here at the request of my son because he’s a huge BBQ fan—and this place did not disappoint.

The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable, and the staff delivered 10/10 customer service. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home.

This is absolutely a must-visit spot, and we will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

I enjoy this BBQ restaurant, but i got brisket today, and it was pretty dry in my opinion, the sausage was nice and juicy, and the sides are always good, that corn pudding is awsome. I’m sure next time will be back to normal.

So very disappointing. Use to be the best BBQ. Now White Castle can do better. Meat was dry and lacked flavor (which is truly surprising) mac and cheese, wow, gross. Brisket was so dry, and fatty, upcharge for the meat I couldn’t even eat. Pulled pork had no flavor, sausage burnt and wrinkled. Staying at a hotel and had no silverwear. Cannot believe how down hill you guys have went.

Hot and delicious! Fresh cornbread for drooling purposes only. We didn’t order those but they looked delicious coming straight from the oven. Husband and I loved the burnt pork belly ends as they were tender and seasoned very well. Both daughters said the leg and thighs were falling off the bone. I loved the 1/2 pound hand-pulled pork that was also very tender and well-seasoned. Son says the nachos were amazing and fulfilling. Triple chocolate cake for dessert.

The hospitality was 10/10 from the moment we stepped inside. We were passing through and wanted a good BBQ spot on our way back to Virginia. Best decision we made on our road trip. Our family of 4 ate and were completely full from the family pack. The price wasn’t bad at all and the food was 10/10. The brisket drizzled in the brush fire sauce was the perfect combination for my taste buds. Collards were very flavorful and the cornbread was just right. Wish I could say we will come back soon but we live on the east coast and we’re just passing through. Highly recommend!!!

We ordered take-out, and it was fabulous! My son had 2 meats/2 sides (ribs, brisket, corn pudding, mac & cheese), and I had the Not a Sloppy Joe sandwich and baked beans. Everything was delicious (can’t comment on the mac & cheese, that ended up in the fridge with the leftovers), and the portions were generous. Online ordering was easy enough, but I’ll have to get the app to start earning points, because we will be back!

Staff was not very polite seemed pushy and added things to our order we didn’t need $6 in drinks.
Same staff member called my name put my food down and ran off didn’t even greet me. Good staff is good but good staff is hard to find.
Very unprofessional experience and it’s literally empty.
