Prices were decent and the food was delicious. Plenty of outdoor seating. Line to order was long but that just gave us extra time to enjoy conversation about that day’s activities we had done. If we got back next year this will definitely be on our list.

Today my friend and I stopped at Burger Master Drive In on Highway 73 in Townsend for a quick bite before visiting the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center across the road. Around 1 PM there was a short line, but it only took a few minutes before we placed our order at the walk-up counter, where we were greeted by a friendly cashier.
I ordered the Double Cheeseburger meal with fries and an iced tea. After ordering, we were given Styrofoam cups to fill our own drinks. The iced tea came from a dispenser—not freshly brewed, but still decent. Within a few minutes our buzzer went off, and we picked up our meals from the counter.
We sat outside under the open roof area. The fries were hot and well-seasoned, easily the highlight of the meal. The burger itself was good, though nothing particularly special or memorable. It filled the spot, and together with the fries and drink, it made for a satisfying roadside lunch.
Overall, Burger Master is a convenient and classic drive-in stop if you’re in Townsend and need a quick, casual meal before heading into the Smokies.

This place has ample parking, ample shaded seating, fast and friendly service, fair prices and great food. I got the smoky burger pictured below, my girlfriend and the bologna sandwich, and we split a strawberry milkshake….. Absolutely phenomenal… you’d be a fool to miss this place

Cool burger spot, great location. The burger wasn’t bad, the fries were good but very salty, the ice cream was the star of the show. That banana split was a spectacle. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I think the burger would have been better but there were a few things wrong with my order. Like they forgot the cheese for 1. Cheese is a necessity. Young kids working there so I didn’t hold it against them too much. Also the drink selection was kinda a bummer. Just coke products, no homemade drinks. If they had a homemade lemonade or ice t, I definitely would of enjoyed it more.
Regardless, I would come back for that banana split anytime I drove past.

The burgers are delicious and perfectly cooked. French fries are seasoned well and they are nice and crispy. Soft serve ice cream is the best!! We love eating here. Give it a try if you haven’t already. You will not be disappointed.

This is a new go to spot anytime we’re in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. They have awesome burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream desserts. It’s a must try if you haven’t been. Excellent food and service

Pretty crowded and famous spot for lunch. The burgers were good and they have an open ambiance for seating. Ice creams were yumm and loaded with sweetness. This is the only spot for lunch after you exit from cades cove visit. There are a few others nearby, but this spot is the first.

We stopped here on our way back from Cades Cove. It was a great way to end a great day. Fun little place. Apparently it is popular, because they were very busy. We enjoyed eating outside and looking at the mountains. Enjoyed our meal. Service was quick. Staff was friendly.
