Was the food good? Sure. It’s a breakfast joint. They do standard breakfast food and they do it pretty well. I had the Carolina omelet and my wife had French toast. No complaints. It isn’t amazing…but it’s good.
Now, it’s fairly early in the morning…we wanted to have a nice relaxing breakfast before driving to the next leg of our vacation. However, we sit down and there is some type of bird squawking incessantly from the balcony. Not exactly what I want to hear while I’m trying to have a nice breakfast with my wife. Just be aware.
Service…our server was fine. Good. Nothing special or amazing, but good.
All in all, it was a good breakfast. Will we go back? Maybe. There are a ton of breakfast places in the area so we might keep trying different ones. We will be back next year and see what happens.

Great place to have a meal. Staff is very friendly. We had the potatoe soup and the Salisbury steak gravy sandwich. Both were very good. This will become our go to place for a good home cooked meal at a good price.

7/15/25: We enjoyed super service from ⭐️Brooke⭐️. Beautiful, spacious interior with comfortable aqua blue padded booths. Mark’s Blue Sky Special: two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, and three crispy bacon strips; was $13.95. Laura loved her stuffed French toast ($10.95) with a side of 5 bacon strips ($6.95). Our first time because we live about 30 minutes away, and the restaurant closes at 2PM daily. We’ll see you the next time we pass through!✅

I know what good breakfast food is. More importantly, I know what good pricing is. You get BOTH at Sky Blue – a great meal for a very reasonable price.
Look, you can’t make every Karen and Kyle happy in the world, some people just can’t be happy and need to find a way to unload that unhappiness on other, hence social media.
If you come here, you’ll get a wide range of menu choices, very friendly service, great tasting food and you won’t find any of that for a cheaper price in this area. So just do yourself a favor and give this place at least 3 tries before you form an opinion. This is our breakfast go-to place on the south end of the Grand Strand.

I’m not sure exactly what I expected prior to going to the Spring House Family Restaurant but it wasn’t at all what thought it would be. To say that we were pleasantly surprised would be a complete understatement. Not only is the place exceptionally neat and clean but they decorated the restaurant for the holiday of that month. We went the end of January and there were Valentines Day decorations everywhere. Our waitress was happily fun as well as very efficient and informative. The food was pretty good as well. To sum it all up, I’d say it was good food, in a fun and festive atmosphere, with exceptional service. We will definitely be back.

Love this place! We rarely go to the same restaurant twice while on vacation. We went three times. Lunch once, and breakfast twice. Would certainly go again. We chose this place because the parking lot was full. But, we never waited more than a couple of minutes for a table. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was very clean.
