The “Bacon Identity” Crisis at PDX

​If you’ve just landed at PDX and are looking for a breakfast that mirrors the chaos of a middle-seat-at-the-back-of-the-plane experience, look no further.
​We stopped here craving some post-flight normalcy. My son ordered the Big Breakfast platter with one simple request: substitute the sausage for bacon. At the first window, the staff nodded with the solemnity of a flight crew confirming a takeoff clearance. “Sub bacon. Copy that.”
​We pulled up to the second window, opened the box, and found… Canadian Bacon. Now, I don’t know if this McDonald’s is technically in international waters since it’s near the airport, but last I checked, “bacon” in the States implies a strip of crispy pork, not a warm circle of ham that’s trying too hard.
​I decided to go inside to get it fixed. This is where the “magic” happened.
​I handed the tray over and explained the mix-up. The employee didn’t even try to hide the “fix.” Within direct eyeshot—literally six feet away—they performed a surgical maneuver that would make a chop-shop proud. They opened the container, pinched the Canadian bacon out like they were removing a splinter, slapped down two strips of actual bacon, and slid the same container back to me with a straight face.
​The Efficiency: 10/10.
The Food Safety/Presentation: 0/10.
The Audacity: Off the charts.
​I wasn’t looking for a gourmet experience, but I also didn’t expect a front-row seat to the “re-gifting” of my own breakfast platter. If you want a meal that has been opened and poked more than your checked luggage at TSA, this is your spot.
​Next time, I’ll just eat the airplane peanuts

Google listed this location as open 24 hours, but we discovered they actually closed at midnight while we were ordering at 11:55 after leaving the airport. The staff was very pleasant about assisting us, even though we came through with a van full of hungry teenagers. Everyone was super friendly and double checked to make sure all of the items we order were taken care of. It would have been understandable if they had expressed frustration or even turned us away given the timing, but everyone was friendly and accommodating. Very much appreciated.

Ordered 2 Mchicken cook to order and they tried to give me old ones at the drive through window. I asked the employee if they cooked them to order to which see replied yes. Then I opened one to see it was not cooked to order gave it back and requested that they actually make them to order. I then had to wait for 10min for something that has a 4min cook time. Total wait time: 18min from time of receipt.

I came to the drive-thru to pick up an order that I placed through the app and paid for. Both the McDonald’s app and Google Maps showed that the location was open. However, it was closed. The employees were inside, but they did not open the door and did not help me with a refund, even though I showed them that the order had been placed and paid for. They should have explained what to do in this situation, but instead they completely ignored me.

Today My wife and I while waiting on our order watched the store Manager or team leader ( black female) treat the other employees very rudely, talking to them like they were children she was angry with. Then my wife tells me she saw this lady give a kid with red hair a really hard time when she was picking up a to go order and treated her like a thief in front of all of the customers waiting when she was just an honest customer showing her receipt and everything. She should be fired.

Every time I order breakfast from here, I have issues. I ordered a McGriddle with no egg, and I got a sausage egg and cheese biscuit with an incorrect label.
I’m not one to write a review but it’s seriously annoying when I’m hungry and get the wrong shit and now I can’t eat. I get it’s stupid ranting about a fast food place, but if I’m spending money in a business I should be receiving what I’m paying for.

Their kiosk is very frustrating and we have never been able to use them. So we order at the counter. Ordering from the counter requires cash payment only, which is not convenient at all. They’re working diligently to scare older people off who don’t want to mess with their lousy computer for ordering their food. We only eat breakfast at McD’s. I wouldn’t dare eat a hamburger there.

I had the double Filet-O-Fish it puts most McDonald’s into a tailspin for some reason if you ask them to wrap it in paper instead of that stupid box. But they are absolutely delicious.

Note: this is *not* the location in the airport but nearby.

I’ve always had well prepared food from this location, early morning or daytime (I haven’t been nearby lately at night).

The employees here are very respectful and the dining area cute. I also appreciate the clean large men’s restroom.

Outdoor patio but no “play place” for kids.

Complaint: U.S. McDonald’s really isn’t very good since 2020 menu cutbacks. I have difficulty finding items to order, especially as I cut back on beef consumption.

I ordered two large fries and one large Mocha Frappe, but both fries were only half full and the drink was also not filled properly. For the price of a large size, I expected a full portion. Very disappointing experience…
