Our founder Rusty Fenton’s dream was to bring the authentic taco stand experience to local communities and to become the neighborhood taco stand. The dream became reality when the first Rusty Taco opened in a converted gas station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, TX in 2010. But Rusty Taco is more than just a place for street tacos. Rusty also believed in serving the community and creating a place where people from all walks of life can come together and feel welcome. We are passionate about what we do and keep our menu fresh and simple. Deliciously uncomplicated tacos crafted by hand with recipes created by our founder, who famously said: “Tacos are the Most Important Meal of the Day®”!
Homegrown mini-chain serving a variety of tacos, breakfast fare, beer & margaritas in festive digs.

Rusty Taco has become one of our go-to places whenever we’re craving great tacos. They never skimp on ingredients — every taco is packed, flavorful, and made with what tastes like truly fresh ingredients. Their salsa verde is especially delicious and adds the perfect tangy kick to anything you put it on.
Each taco has such a good, bold flavor that you can tell comes from quality ingredients and care in how they prepare everything. For the portion sizes and the taste you get, their prices are extremely reasonable, which makes it an easy favorite for our family.
If you haven’t tried Rusty Taco yet, it’s a must. Consistently great food, great value, and always satisfying.
I ordered the black bean taco bowl and received enough for at least three people if not more! The guacamole is excellent and I’m very picky about my guac. The green salsa is also good.
My only complaint would be that they did not put all of the ingredients for their bowl on their website. I was not aware that the bowl would have sesame seeds on it or I would’ve had them removed. Thankfully, I am not allergic to them. I am just supposed to limit how many I can have. Other than that it was quick, relatively inexpensive, there was plenty of food and it was good.
