Social Profile:

Our founder Rusty Fenton’s dream was to bring the authentic taco stand experience to local communities and to become the neighborhood taco stand. The dream became reality when the first Rusty Taco opened in a converted gas station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, TX in 2010. But Rusty Taco is more than just a place for street tacos. Rusty also believed in serving the community and creating a place where people from all walks of life can come together and feel welcome. We are passionate about what we do and keep our menu fresh and simple. Deliciously uncomplicated tacos crafted by hand with recipes created by our founder, who famously said: “Tacos are the Most Important Meal of the Day®”!

Homegrown mini-chain serving a variety of tacos, breakfast fare, beer & margaritas in festive digs.

One of my favorite restaurants. Lots of favorites here ! The salsa is made in house from scratch (at least I’ve seen the pots w tomatillos cooking!). This is a brisket egg and cheese on flour.

So good!! So many choices and they were all delicious! We had five different kinds! Wish I would have tried nachos too, they looked delicious. Desert peach was amazing. Service was fantastic!!! Definitely would go back!! Lots of outside seats too!

One of my favorite places. Love their shrimp tacos and the queso breakfast burritos served all day. Order 2 togo for the next day. Its close to the Heritage softball fields. Just wish they were open a little later especially in the summer week days.

I have a mixed feeling here. Sometimes is great some is mid. There are some tacos that are not too worthy like the egg one that typically spills a lot of eater from within; but there are some hidden gems, there is a new set of “fried” tacos with cheese and brisket that are out of this world…. I really hope that they keep them because they are fab!

One of Our Favorite Taco Spots

Rusty Taco has become one of our go-to places whenever we’re craving great tacos. They never skimp on ingredients — every taco is packed, flavorful, and made with what tastes like truly fresh ingredients. Their salsa verde is especially delicious and adds the perfect tangy kick to anything you put it on.

Each taco has such a good, bold flavor that you can tell comes from quality ingredients and care in how they prepare everything. For the portion sizes and the taste you get, their prices are extremely reasonable, which makes it an easy favorite for our family.

If you haven’t tried Rusty Taco yet, it’s a must. Consistently great food, great value, and always satisfying.

This was my first time eating here. After Christmas leftovers for two days I needed something different. Rusty taco was close to the house and the reviews looked good.
I ordered the black bean taco bowl and received enough for at least three people if not more! The guacamole is excellent and I’m very picky about my guac. The green salsa is also good.
My only complaint would be that they did not put all of the ingredients for their bowl on their website. I was not aware that the bowl would have sesame seeds on it or I would’ve had them removed. Thankfully, I am not allergic to them. I am just supposed to limit how many I can have. Other than that it was quick, relatively inexpensive, there was plenty of food and it was good.

Taco Joe and the Rusty crew make this place an amazing go-to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is far and away the best bang for your buck in this economy. Tasty – always seasoned very well. Fresh ingredients. Hot and fast. I cannot say enough good about Rusty taco. I’ve been eating here since 2016, and it is as consistent as death and taxes – but way more delicious.

First time visit this place couple weeks ago with my husband and our puppy. We sat down at the outside seatings and it was nice. My hubby had cheese nacho and brisket which was amazing. I had a phili steak bowl, it was alright. We also ordered their special tacos and we were not too impressed. However, overall it was nice for the first visit. May be try something else next time

This is the second time I’ve left disappointed. I used to love this place, but it seems like it’s gone downhill. The last time, the chips were stale and the tacos were mediocre and service wasn’t great, but I figured they were just having an off night. Today, the service was horrible, and they’re not even honoring the text promotions going out. This blows my mind… the text was whole the reason I went in and decided to give them another try. How would I know this location isn’t participating? Very misleading and the staff showed zero empathy whatsoever. When I asked a couple questions about the menu, the girl stared at me blankly and literally said “I’ll let you look at the menu” and walked away. So rude. I felt like I could have left and she would have been glad I did. I honestly should have. Sad because I used to LOVE this restaurant and sang its praises to anyone looking for recommendations.

I enjoyed the queso, the tacos, but I especially LOVED the margaritas. 😉 I did not get the name of the gentleman who made them that night, but these drinks are strong and delicious. Plus the queso is scrumptious.
