It’s a small restaurant, but serves the best food in San Cristobal. Mostly Pizza and Sandwiches. I ordered the set, and it came with a delicious pizza and patatas.

I’ve lived in San Cris for 4 years, have frequented Pachamama and thankfully never had the kind of rude behavior we received until last night.

We were grateful they were open close to midnight and the hostess was sweet and seated us in the back side room. No one brought us menus and I grabbed some off another table. When the waitress came I said “Buenas noches, que tipos de pizza tiene que son vegetariana?” And she picked up the menu and said with a ton of atttiude “No puedes leer la carta?” To which I said “Si puedo pero no hay información de que tipos de rebanadas tiene ahora.” She rolled her eyes and sighed, walked away and came back to tell me which they had. I was shocked she would answer so rudely but we thought maybe it’s Halloween and she dealt with a lot of drunks and tried to show grace.

When we asked for the bill she took her sweet time flirting with the table of men next to us and when it finally arrived, she was trying to charge us for mineral water. I pointed out the error and she pointed out a tiny penafiel bottle I had just bought at El Signo and pulled out of my bag. I was so put off by her audacity. I told her I didn’t buy that there (which as my waitress she would have remembered bringing and also Pachamama doesn’t sell tiny bottles of penafiel) to which she said “No puedes tomar cosas de afuera así necesitas pagar” to which I stood my ground and told her that no one had said we couldn’t drink our own water, that there was no way I would pay for a water I didn’t buy there and how ridiculous that was she was even trying to say that and still she pushed saying she can’t take it off the bill because whatever the camera sees they have to charge for (the camera couldn’t even see our table and if it could the camera would see my pulling the bottle out of my purse). She was so rude and tried to be so manipulative, we left without tipping. As an ex waitress / bartender who’s worked many crazy halloweens we were going to tip extra but not with that kind of service. Management, please talk to your employees because this is not any kind of way to be treating customers.

It was fine. I don’t think you will be at a loss choosing to eat here. But it was just about average given to cost imo.

We had pizza. Very bready. Potato wedges were great, but quite expensive.

Service was good though. And atmosphere too.

Amazing place. Came here after a long day of traveling and ordered grilled chicken, veggie piadina and quinoa pattie. Big portions and food so good that after finishing the meal we ordered again to go. Highly recommend.

Whoa, the food is delicious! We went back another time, just to have another bite of the vegetarian hamburgers. Downside? It’s not a big place, so it get’s quite busy and often you have to wait to get a table. So make sure you time your visit well.

Charming Argentinian bistro, serving empanadas, pizza, pasta and select entrees like Argentinian style beef steak. This is worth a look-in for a change from traditional Mexican fair, and also a good option for pizza or for vegetarian dishes.

The restaurant is cosy and has a wonderful atmosphere, tables are available on the street too. Every table was evidently comfortable and chatting.

Food was delicious and plentiful, served fast but still cooked fresh. We were served a plate of salsas to dip bread into while we waited for the food, including some excellent chimmichuri which we proceeded to put on everything with gusto.

We ordered veggie calzone, full of mixed veg and cheese that was very reminiscent of an empanada; some creamy and comforting spinach ravioli; and a side of ‘spiced french fries’, which were actually more like wedges. All of it was outstanding. For s homesick Brit craving fried potato but wanting to avoid chains, these were a welcome find!

We paid 345 pesos for all that and two soft drinks and frankly over-ate, however special deals of a meal with a drink are also available for 100 pesos and less.

Attention was wonderful and there are extensive menu options. Server was good. The empanadas were awesome and the ravioli tasty. We had an issue with the Cortes meat plate. Presentation was nice but the meat was uncooked and cold. They browned it quickly but was raw on the interior and cold. The pork chorizo was also raw on the inside which, as far as I know, is dangerous to serve. We alerted the server and this seemed to puzzle him. Eventually he took it back to heat and the owner brought it out a few minutes later. No apologies or comments. Just placed it on the table. This place is known for pizza and empanadas. I think we’ll stick to that if we Visit again.

One of the biggest burgers I’ve ever had! It took a while to be served (more than 20min), but the waiter did warn me. Well worth the wait, great burger, and for 120pesos, you won’t get a better deal in San Cristobal!! My partner had the Caesar salad and it was really good too. Chicken a bit dry but lots of cheese and yummy dressing.

If you ever tried any pizza in your life don’t go there for pizza. You can buy much better frozen in any supermarkets. House wine taste like fermented juice. Not sure about other dishes but we won’t come back here. For sure overrated place. Even service is too much, they were moving over our plates and tried to help with sugar with coffee (I believe if we use it he would stir our drink as well, as he has already spoon in his hand)
