My family and I had a cherished and memorable dinner reminiscent of simpler times thanks to the incredible staff, food, and atmosphere at this location. Ariel was our server and she was an absolute pleasure. She was the sweetest, funny, engaging, and went above/beyond. People like her make lasting impressions and positivity affect the world around them making all others want to be better people. My wife and I had a hankering for catfish so we stopped in at the Somerset, Ky store. We were seated promptly and Emma the waitress took our order within five minutes. I know that we stopped at an off-time being 3:45 pm trying to beat the supper bunch where some services may be a little longer. The restaurant was clean and very pleasant looking on the inside. When we got our order of catfish, pinto beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes with gravy and corn muffins along with iced tea to drink, we couldn’t wait to dig in. All of the meal was hot and succulent just out of the kitchen and tasted as good as it looked. Most of the Cracker Barrels have great food and the Somerset store was no exception which was made better by the waitress Emma who was a joy to speak to and always was on top of things.

Somerset, Kentucky location stopped in to see if the food was any better than what I heard about online. And watching of u-tube videos. Sorry to say it’s bad guys! Oh I messed up, I order the Saturday southern fried chicken mashed potatoes and green beans. The fried chicken was cold and oily the outside, dry meat on the inside like it was sitting in the kitchen all day under a warmer. The mashed potatoes seemed as if they had been dipped out, sitting under a heat lamp with a crust on top in the bowl, the green beans was unseasoned straight from the can. The small basket of biscuits was right from the warming table. Cold inside and wouldn’t melt the butter. Even my ice tea tasted strange. I was here with the family. We’re so unhappy with the meals now being served at this restaurant chain. We really wanted to consider eating here this one more time. But after today that it! Sure wasn’t worth the money ,for this lunchtime meal. Oh and I have never in my life seen this! Wife received the wrong meat on here plate. So the server stated I quote: My bad! She walked away, coming back with a small plate. Asking my wife to slide it onto the plate to take back to the kitchen. I know after that move…. I would never eat here again! I would like to state my thoughts and feels about it to the owner and management. But I didn’t feel up to making a deal about it today with my family. If I was dinning alone it wouldn’t went very well. I’m sorry, I’m definitely done with the Craziness of cracker crust. Go on do your make over. Rebrand it for the new Generation that don’t know what good home cooking is all about.

Are there this past Friday night, in Somerset Kentucky. Service was awful and food was cold. When we complained, the server was rude and refused to get the manager. The server did bring out the mashed potatoes for the second time and they were still cold. No refills on the drinks. This has been one of my favorite places to eat but not sure we will come back. We had a family of 8 and for the price paid, the food should have been great!! So upset!

Chicken was very tasty and juicy. All the right seasonings. Cold slaw was delicious and sweet. Dumplings were amazing. Such a great gravy taste to it. Also tried the cheese curds, and they were delicious.
Love how cozy and warm it felt in there. Super homie and relaxing.

We went in as a table of 4 they got busy 10 minutes after we where seated. My daughter and I ordered chicken strips and my husband and son ordered breakfast. My husbands food was cool and my son’s eggs were cold and bacon was old and burnt. Will drive to Corbin before we eat here again . Not worth the $72

This Cracker Barrel needs to hire or better use their available staff. The food was excellent, and our waitress was fine. However, as people were waiting to be seated, there was only one person doing seating. There were several empty tables and more tables waiting to be cleaned. After we ate, and paid, I picked out some clothing to purchase. I stood in line as another customer was being served . When it was my turn, the elderly lady said that I need to go to the other line. She left ONE cashier who had people already backed up into the eating area.Management needs to do better

We were first timers at this particular location. Service was great. Food was mediocre except for the greens. Those greens was the best part of my meal. They were Flavored great and had country ham throughout. I had originally ordered corn at first but the taste and temperature was not good. The waitress was very accommodating and allowed me to switch the corn for an extra order of greens.
