I’ve been going to Thai Orchid for years. Like, decades. I can’t believe I haven’t written a review. I used to go there when it was in a different location in downtown Vancouver. Anyway, if you like Thai food and you haven’t been, GO. The food is amazing. The service is amazing. The prices are good. The bathrooms are spotless. The plants add a nice vibe. There is PLENTY of seating. There is free parking in front of the restaurant. There is also street parking (free on Sundays anyway). Thai Orchid is a mainstay in downtown Vancouver and MUST-VISIT.

I placed a to go order and was able to sit and chat with the hostess for a while and she was absolutely wonderful. I was unsure of what I wanted and she explained most of the dishes and gave me a recommendation based on what I typically like and just went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my choice! The food was great and I can’t wait to come back and try a few more dishes! I loved the packaging as well and it helped maintained the foods temperature!

They have a lot of vegan options and it’s easy to tell which ones are vegan and you can ask it without egg. They have sushi but also Thai food. COCONUT TOFU was crispy and good! Other foods are also nice too! For me their foods are a little bit too salty but I still like it.

I had an amazing experience at Thai Orchid! The interior is beautifully decorated with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our meal.
As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was packed with authentic flavors, and the portions were generous. We left feeling full and satisfied. If you’re in the Vancouver area and craving tasty Thai food, this is the place to go.

My husband and our baby came in for a very delightful dinner. The staff are all really kind and friendly. We both ordered some variation of thai curry and some extra veges and it was delicious! Its very fairly priced with great portions. I had to make sure it was gf, df and soy free and the staff confirmed for me making it a good option if you have allergies. I also struggle with spice and asked for it very mild and it was good! My partner ordered a 4/5 spice level and said it definitely had a kick.

Fantastic food and service. I did, however, expect more color and vegetables in the dishes and realized I would need to purchase the vegetables as a side rather than it being part of the meal. I had the lemon grass chicken pad Thai and it tasted fantastic with what I thought was generous portions. Seemed a bit pricey however as I’ve experienced better Thai meals presented more beautifully at a lower price. Overall, satisfied with the experience.

Employees are so inattentive, I’ve gotten food here countless times, they ALWAYS forget the drink and don’t come up even to check on everything for me to even have a chance to remind them. The order is always made incorrectly, even after I ask them to say it back to me. My last straw was when I placed a pickup order (yes I had him say the whole thing back to me and asked the price) my husband picks it up. MISSING drink and the extra cost customization to my sushi role is not done. Had to go back and they end up charging him more for the customization since they didn’t the first time (which the total over the phone was correct and including the price of everything) the food is good but not worth the terrible service I keep experiencing with no apologies or make up for it.
EDIT: They ended up reaching out and explained, apologized and offered a gift card and to inform the team about a few things. I appreciate the prompt response, thank you
