It feels crazy to say this, but I had not been to Kenner Seafood in about 20 years (moved to TN). We loved eating there when we lived in the area, but our return visits never lined up with a trip to Kenner. Well, this was the year that we finally made it back and oh-my-goodness were we glad we did. Literally everything we ate was amazing. Sautéed Crab Fingers were our hands down favorite in that incredible garlic butter sauce… we were slathering our French bread in that stuff, YUM! Next we had boudin balls, then crab meat au gratin which were both delicious. My daughter had a bowl of red beans and rice with smoked sausage which was the definition of comfort food. My other daughter and I shared blackened redfish with mashed potatoes. The fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I still love the mashed potatoes that are served with a yummy beef gravy. Lol, we were seated in the expanded dining room which is a barely converted garage which felt very nostalgic. On top of all this, our waitress was a treasure – so friendly and attentive ! We will not wait 20 years before returning!

Omg! The Monday Special, Charbroiled Dungeoness is a MUST TRY! So good! Onion rings were on point! Boyfriend loves the red beans, only thing I wish they would do, is serve good ranch. I’m not a fan of the big generic sysco jug of ranch, I prefer the homemade one with buttermilk. Next time I just need to remember to get another dressing 🙂

We ate here ten years ago and ended up back again. Food was amazing! Thanks to Kim for making a reservation for our large group. When you come request Emma! She handled our group like a pro. Thank you Kenner’s for an awesome experience!

I had raw oysters that were fresh and good, the Horseradish was great takenyour breath away. The seafood gumbo was good, next I ordered redfish and shrimp blackened with cajun potatoes and coleslaw with jalapeno hushpuppys. The fish and shrimp had no blackened taste, the fish was overcooked and dry the shrimp were ok. The potatoes were said to be spicy on the menu not spicy, the hushpuppys didn’t have any jalapeno flavor. This was my experience. I will not return. I will try another.

My family and I were headed to a different place and we couldn’t get there due to the parades. We ended up at Kenner Seafood and I am so glad we did. My sister met the owner (Trudy) and before we knew it Trudy was at our table teaching us how to eat crawfish. She is a doll a sweet genuine lady. I can’t even tell you how good the food and service was. Amazing. It was a whole experience. Go you won’t be sorry. Tell Trudy we say hi

When we are away we like to eat where locals recommend. Kenner Seafood is a local favorite. It is not “fine dining” rather good food dining with the locals. There is a blend of fun Cajuns, Hispanic partiers, and laughing locals having a good time attacking crabs so it’s a little loud. From the top, greater was very nice. We sat at bar and bartender was so nice. Shrimp po boys were good. Gumbo was Cajun style seafood gumbo with thick spicy roux nicely done. Fried shrimp were nice.

We had fun and good food.

My wife and I stopped on Wednesday evening. We split a seafood platter and a shrimp po’ boy and an order of corn. Our waitress, Sara G. answered our questions about the menu. She brought our orders quickly. It was a lot of food. It was all very good. The po’ boy had a lot of crusty bread. That seems to be the “correct” way you make one so it is our preferences that are different. The shrimp inside the sandwich was crispy and tasty.

Had dinner with colleagues. I tried the blackened redfish, a regular boudin and a hot boudin. All the food was excellent and the boudin was outstanding. The hot was noticeably spicier than the normal but neither was extremely spicy in my opinion. The boudin is clearly homemade and I could eat a full meal of it. The redfish was also excellent. Enjoyed our time here and I would definitely eat here again.
