Quarterdeck in Fort Lauderdale offers a lively atmosphere and a convenient location, especially for those staying near the cruise ship hotels. We visited with a large group, and the staff handled everything well — service was attentive and efficient throughout the evening.
The outdoor patio is a highlight, featuring fire pits and attractive lighting that create a relaxed, enjoyable setting. The drink specials were also an excellent value and definitely one of the stronger aspects of the experience.
The food itself was average overall — nothing particularly memorable, but acceptable for a casual outing. One drawback was the noticeable cigarette smoke drifting into the dining area, which detracted from the meal.
Overall, a solid option for drinks and group gatherings in a convenient location, with a great patio atmosphere.

We had a huge party and katherine was on it!! She was super friendly and willing to help. The ambience was so cute and there was tons of different seating arrangements. I got the Caribbean chicken sandwich and it was delicious, just what I wanted!

Host was great. Server was nervous but not her fault! Ordered a well done burger and got it medium rare, asked the server to see it and she just smiled and said she’d let the cook know which we waited around 5 minutes before I let a higher up know what was happening.. took my burger and brought it back with more chips which I appreciated. Server kept asking for our next round of drinks about 3 times so I finally told her I’d gulp my entire drink for her if she was in a rush. Atmosphere was great though! Met a couple friends afterwards… I don’t like getting rushed into drinking fast… no one was waiting for our table. I do want to say I come here every year at least 4-5 times in the vacation season mahi tacos were great prior to this year. Ordered them a week ago and they tasted odd definitely not the same. Asked a couple locals for their opinions and they all agree that the quality of the Mahi tacos went down. Went to 15th fishery the next day and the bartender told me that they had to pull them out of the menu due to the quality of fish they were getting.

Had an amazing meal at The Quarterdeck! I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap, and my friend had the Grilled Chicken Salad—both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Our waitress was fantastic (wish I remembered her name!), super friendly, and attentive. The whole experience was great, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Had a great meal and service tonight on our one night stay in Fort Lauderdale after a cruise. Got greeted the hostess who was friendly and joked with us.
We were greeted by Brooke,who was helpful with suggestions. My husband decided on a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and I had The Stine Crab Chowder(TO DIE FOR!!) & took Brooke’s suggestion and got The Poke’ Bowl with Salmon & Steak. I also got both spicy sauces,which complemented it perfectly!! I work in the service industry & appreciate a great server!! Brooke’s was superb & I hope is recognized for it. Ty for a great meal!!!

Huge shout-out to Haley, Dave and Kylie — they are hands down two of the best bartenders I’ve had anywhere in Fort Lauderdale. Super friendly, fast, attentive, and they actually care about the guests. Drinks were perfect every time, great recommendations, and they kept the energy fun without ever being chaotic or sloppy.
They made us feel welcomed, taken care of, and honestly made the whole night better than expected. If you’re sitting at the bar, ask for Dave or Kylie — they’re the reason we’ll be back.
Highly recommend Quarterdeck, especially the bar service.

The Quarterdeck on 17th street is truly a special place. It’s like a South Florida Cheers- where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came. It’s my favorite place to watch Dolphins games and Steve- the manager will even play the Dolphins song (when they win games). The lunch menu is the best deal in town. The ambiance is family friendly and dog friendly. Haley and Liam truly make everyone feel welcome and are the best bartender team hands down!

First time there. No introduction to the restaurant. Waiter came asked about drinks, wesaid water to start. Start. We had just sat down, we don’t know the menu. He came back with water and asked to take our order. We asked a few questions. I had the Phiily Cheesesteak and fries very good. Hubby had hot wings, & Mahi tacos. Not great. The food came out fast and correct. The waiter was never seen again until I want looking for him. I tried waiving him down, we tried getting someone else’s attention to get him. Nothing. If we had wanted anything other than water we were S.O.L. He wanted a 20% tip for 5 minutes. That would be about $120 per hour for mediocre work.
