I had the Short Ribs for an appetizer and the Tendedero de Birria, and I can tell you these are both incredible. The Short Ribs are one of a kind – they are served on a soft, thick shell with the meat and short rib on top, and the flavor is simply amazing. As for the Birria, the presentation is a showstopper: the tacos are served on a literal cloth line!
The interior of the place is also very artsy and cool – there’s a 3D model of a panther on the wall that adds to the unique vibe.
A helpful tip: be ready for an interactive meal with the Tendedero. They give you rice, mashed beans, and onion on the side, along with a rich consommé (the dipping broth) for you to take the tacos from the cloth line and prep them yourself. For incredible food, presentation, and service, this place is a must-visit.
A few of us stopped in for dinner an a whim and man was this a good choice. Very unique entrees with the clothesline tacos, rotisserie chicken machine (so fun!) and the dessert cart for a build-your-own dessert to end the trip.
The shrimp tacos, the fish tacos, and the steak tacos. The tacos are pretty darn good. Not the largest portions, although I understand that most street tacos are not really large anyhow. They were cooked well and tasty.
The service was so so. Friendly, but pretty slow. It took a while to get our cocktails and they kept trying to give us dishes that weren’t ours so they’re just a little bit off kilter.
The restaurant is decorated in a colorful way. They have these crazy menus that light up like Kindles.
I would go back. The food was good and the atmosphere is nice and the service was friendly, if just a little slow.
