We made a day trip out to Hammond specifically to visit Golden Corral for the first time and we loved it! The parking lot was chaotic, but it didn’t take long until we were inside and enjoying the food. Mashed potatoes, ham hock and beans, fried fish, melted cheese, vegetables, shrimp, fried okra, at least a dozen desserts and more—the list goes on and we weren’t able to try it all because there was just so many options. The country-style cooking was a great change of pace over the usual Chinese buffets and fast food joints. The food was good, and the interior was clean and inviting. For $12.99 per person, it’s a steal. We’ll be back for sure.

This is quite literally the best Golden Corral I’ve ever been to! At least in the state of Louisiana. The food was really top notch and tasted like quality made with care. Service was perfect too. I had an attentive server and everyone seemed nice for a busy night on top of that! If I ever go to another Golden Corral comkng back to this one and hope their service never changes!

1st time at Hammond Golden Corral. Buffet was well stocked. Several patrons in restaurant during our visit. I fixed my plate and sat down to eat. No flatware!! I looked around where you get your plates… Nothing!! My husband fixed his plate and sat down…no flatware! After several minutes the server came out of their room. I asked her …where do you get your silverware?? She looked puzzled…then said ..oh I’m sorry…I thought I left it for you. She returned to her room and got us 2 packs of silverware. Finally, we get to eat. Food was hum drum. Chicken was not good!!

Semi trucks can park at the Pilot a few blocks away and Uber to Golden Corral. Too dangerous to walk. 3 lanes one way. I have eaten here around 5 times. I am from out of town. I can say the food was fresh, got, delicious. Service was great. 1 time a server wasn’t attentive. My rating will NOT reflect that. Her tip did. The other times, they were clearing tables, sweeping messy ppl sitting areas. The cashier has always been smiling and great too. I took kids out for dinner on friday night, their choice; they didnt even like anything they had it. Note what they picked are there normal every day Items they eat. Food was bland, service wasnt friendly didnt ask if we wanted a refill on drinks. I tried the banana pudding normally that was the best thing it tasted like it was a few days old. We wont be back at this location at all.

7/6/2021 Well… looks like it’s over… didn’t take long. Empty containers on the bar at dinner time, steaks burning on the grill in flames, and no one around. Finally a young kid comes to the grill and hands me a raw steak. I won’t be back. Sad how quickly it went down.
Previously… When I come to Golden Corral, I expect a good selection of hot food at a good price… and that’s what we got here. Looks like the out-of-town store opening crew is still in the house, but let’s hope they can keep the service at this level after they leave. I rated them at 5 because they do exactly what I expected. The steaks were good, but just remember, it’s a buffet and grill not a steakhouse. They definitely blow away the old tenants of this location. Even the chocalate fountain was kicking it!

Food was good guy cooking the steaks is top notch only issue was blonde had a party and had to get another waitress to wait on me it’s funny how your are ignored until it’s time to leave and you go to leave a tip. I personally give the tip to the one who waited on me.

Its just rough for lack of a better word. Old and dated. I give them an “A” for creativity. They come up with a lot of ways to recycle the old food into various dishes. The waitresses are generally nice and try hard. I’ve eaten at quite a few of these in various states. This one is definitely old and in need of a refresh. My 2nd visit to this one. Wish so many choices all around them in the same $20 plus tip with tax price range I cannot say I will return

I haven’t been to Golden corral in years. So we figured we would swing in just out of nostalgia. There wasn’t very many options. So not as we expected. They had a whole bar missing out the center. But our waitress was fantastic. Definitely deserves the tips that she works for. The environment wasn’t hostile or anything. Just a usual buffet kind of atmosphere.
But all around, the only reason I rated it so low, was literally because there wasn’t very much on the buffet.
