This Mi Cocina location in Dallas is hands down the best one in all of Texas. Everything here is consistently top-tier — the food always comes out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The quality is on another level compared to other locations.
The restaurant is clean, well-run, and has a great atmosphere that makes dining here feel special every time. The staff are attentive, friendly, and fast, and the service is always smooth no matter how busy it gets.

A Taste of Authentic Mexico
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mi Cocina, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience.
The food was absolutely incredible. I opted for the vegetarian tacos and quesadilla, and both were packed with flavor. The fresh vegetables and authentic seasonings created a harmonious blend that was both satisfying and delicious. The complimentary chips and salsa were the perfect appetizer, setting the tone for the rest of the meal.
As if the food couldn’t get any better, they also provided generous portions of fresh salads topped with guacamole, sour cream, and a sprinkle of chili powder. The combination of flavors was simply mouthwatering.
The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to recommend dishes and answer any questions I had.
Overall, my experience at Mi Cocina was exceptional. If you’re craving authentic Mexican cuisine in a lively and welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.

What can I say about Mi Cocina that hasnt already been said? We first went to the Bent Tree location not long after it opened. I felt like I was in a music video or a club. Every employee was in dressed in black and they were all wearing headsets. Music was trendy and it felt like a party. The food was just ok. I know they had been in business in Dallas for years prior. This was a growing area and where the tollway ended so a good location to expand.
Anyway, we moved into the area in the mid-2000’s and started eating there on a regular basis. But after the remodel we started eating take out weekly until covid hit. I felt like we wanted them to survive so we ate take out once a week. Service was always good but as a take out customer it has steadily declined. Maybe this is due to door dash? Not sure but they are now consitently not as good as they used to be. Rico salad is typically missing ingredients or just not as fresh as a $20 salad should be. I often wonder why this chain thinks that people will continue to be loyal when they drop the ball. The combo platters ‘tex mex basics’ are a little better and more consistent… but sometimes are undercooked. The Mambo taxi is ok but also used to be better. …now not as much ‘fuel’ as before.
This has forced us to look elsewhere for our weekly Tex-Mex fix. We will continue to go to Mi Cocina Bent Tree but now we also order from Uncle Julio’s, Blue Goose & Manny’s. I will even drive up to the Mi Cocina Lakeside Market in Plano because they appear to at least check out what they are giving you, not that Bent Tree doesnt, but I think if it doesnt look “the best” they should not let you take it home.

Lyrically Gifted Brother
Hostess was very welcoming and even laughed at my dad jokes. Once seated, our waiter Alozo was very attentive and checked on me regularly, he wasn’t over bearing. The manager Luz even greeted me and offered to get more chips once she seen I ate then all, once I said yes Junior an employee was bringing more chips in less than 5 minutes. Before I could finish the chips and salsa, my food was being delivered to the table and I ate it all, time to go home and sleep lol

I had below average service at the bar. I was ignored the entire time. The bartenders stood at the end of the bar all night. To pay my check, I got up, went to the end of the bar where they were standing and let them know I was being ignored. One bartender was more concerned about how the alcohol bottles were lined up. I won’t go back to this location.
