Excellent service today. When I arrived the place was very clean. No dirty tables. The food was stocked and ready to be served. Loved seeing their robot roam the place picking up empty plates. Will certainly come back again.

I ordered one of the meal deals for my family (pizza, chicken, and choice of dessert) and ordered for delivery online. I added two sides plus an order of biscuits. Before the driver showed up, I received a call that he had forgotten two items (the pizza and the large cookie) and that they’d send it with another driver. The communication with that was much appreciated, and I was happy that they caught the mistake on their own so early on. I watched the first driver fly down the street past my house and eventually came back around. The second driver arrived about 25 minutes later. The biscuits were burnt and smelled terrible before I even opened the bags and boxes. The chicken was also over-fried, as was the cookie dessert. The pizza and sides were as expected, and the original driver had accidently brought a cactus pizza that was not ours and it was pleasant (which made up for the burnt cookie). Overall, it was a mediocre experience with overcooked food. Not in any rush to order or eat here again.

Not a good experience. The lady working the counter was rude and not friendly. The restaurant and seating area were not clean. Most importantly the food was not good. Very few selections on the pizza buffet, the chicken was old and dry, and the Mac n Cheese had a crusty layer on top. We were there at about 3:30PM and the lady (seemed to be the manager) said they were getting ready for the dinner crowd while vacuuming around our feet. I have been to various Pizza Ranch buffets dozens of times and this experience definitely did not meet their usual standards. Go to the Indianola store instead.

Most Friendliest location I’ve been to, the place wasn’t crowded just the way I like it, and great atmosphere. The person who cleans up n takes up trays only spoke to my partner but did not speak to me. Instead, he gave an ugly look and walked off. 30 minutes after eating, my partner got up for seconds, and that same person that cleans up walked out and saw the empty plates and walked away. Rude!!!!!!!!!!

The food on the buffet when we got there shortly before 4:30pm was not very appetizing looking. My group ate very little. Most desserts were out, silverware was slim pickings. When I went up to personally order a pizza the guy looked bothered. They were not very busy at that time. As time progressed things got a little better once their fundraiser event took place they never did put new desserts out though even after being asked the kids especially wanted the big chocolate chip cookie, we kept checking. We were there until right before 6pm. This was the Urbandale location. We really prefer the Ankeny location!

The atmosphere was very inviting with the staff being friendly and helpful. I really like seeing there was a robot server that handled all the dirty dishes. It was moving around the restaurant collecting dishes the whole time. They are very on top of their restaurant and the food was outstanding.

I’ve been to a lot of Pizza Ranches, and some are better than others. This one is at or near the bottom of the barrel. The food was pretty status quo for a Pizza Ranch. Pizza was average, nothjng to rave about. They had a sweet chicken of some sort that was very good, and the fried chicken is always good.
My isssue with this restaurant start with the men’s bathroom. They were having some issue with sewer smell in the bathroom. It was so bad that it almost made me sick. I’m just glad I used the bathroom before I ate. I almost asked for my money back and left as it was very unappetizing. The napkin holder on my table couldn’t have seen a rag in days there was a layer of dust on it that looked like someone peppered it with black pepper. It’s not likely I will return to this Pizza Ranch. I will drive across town to visit a different one in the future.

Definitely reminds me of CICIs pizza, there is a pizza buffet you can let the lady know when paying if you want a specific kind of pizza and they will bring it to your table freshly made. They also have a chicken bar, has wedges, mash potatoes, green beans, corn, gravy, BBQ chicken. They also have chili and different dessert and soft serve icecream we paid as a family of 4 $62.00. Well worth it
