A true 5 out of 5. Our server, Andrea, was super friendly and welcoming! The perfect balance of attentiveness without being over bearing. A true credit to our dining experience. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. Well worth the drive from Greenock. We will be back soon hopefully.

Great customer service and great food, they didn’t have a tagliatelle that day, but made one up for me, was so tasty.

Thank you for the service. A clean and spacious area to enjoy our dinner here. Quantity of food is impressive. Although the soup with the mussels is a bit salty, all the dishes are tasty in great sauce.

We went here for Valentine’s Day dinner and unfortunately the experience was really disappointing.

Our starters came out cold, so we quietly moved our plates to the side as we were planning to politely ask for fresh ones – we weren’t looking to cause any issues at all, just hoping to have them replaced. The chef/kitchen staff seemed to notice before we were able to ask for ourselves and asked a member of staff to come over and check if everything was okay. We explained calmly that the food was cold and asked if we could just get new starters instead.

While waiting on our fresh starters the atmosphere became quite uncomfortable. The chef kept staring at us from the kitchen hatch, which felt very intimidating. I initially tried to ignore it, but it continued to the point where I looked back at him hoping he would stop. The staring carried on, and I then overheard him pass comment on me in a very unpleasant tone pass which also involved swearing. This was shocking and completely unprofessional to hear as a customer and it really upset me.

I asked to speak to a manager and was told to sit while someone came over. When the manager arrived, I immediately felt dismissed. Before I even had the chance to explain what had happened, he told me he had already spoken to the chef and that the chef said he hadn’t said anything. By that point, replacement mozzarella sticks arrived, but the situation had already made us feel so uncomfortable that we decided to leave.

What upset us most was that when we said we were leaving, there was no attempt to resolve things or even check on us – the manager simply walked away.

It’s a shame, as the issue started with something small that could have easily been fixed, but the way the situation was handled made what should have been a nice Valentine’s evening feel very unpleasant.

We have been to this restaurant numerous times as we loved it here however we will not be back.

Excellent food, service and drinks. Will 100% be back. The king prawn and scallop spaghetti was out of this world.

Place was just about packed out at 7om on a random Thursday – great start! Lovely bustling buzz about the place, staff polite and attentive, without being in your face. Food was amazing (friend said “like being back in Italy again!”). Good portions, beautifully presented and fabulous choices – I’ve never seen many of these dishes before. Book now – go!

Had a nice lunch. Only 2 staff serving so service was a little slow.Staff not to blame as the place was wuite busy. Dessert of snowball copa was nice but did not come as described. There was no meringue, only 1 snowball (halved) and no chocolate flake. So a little dissapointing visit.

Service was very slow, but pleasant, so loathe to leave a less than average.
Food was OK. Not the worst, not the best in most cases. It was well presented, but just lacking flavour. Ceasar salad was delicious though and husband enjoyed his calzone, although the sauce was also missing “something”.
Husband also enjoyed the calamari.

I’d go back if invited or if I got a free voucher but probably not off my own back.

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed lunch at Amaretto this afternoon. The Staff were so welcoming, friendly and attenative with a special mention to the lady who greated us , sorry I didn’t get her name and to Jody our server. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Lovely authentic Italian food. Premises were lovely with an optional outdoor area for a nice day. Staff were very nice, however the service was a bit all over the place. We had three different people and several times I had to go and ask for things as nobody was checking up on us, which is usually a nice touch and helpful if you need anything. Would definitely go back, and probably opt to sit inside as I feel more attention was paid the customers in there. Also I think that the starter should not have been served on garlic mayo. May I suggest a no seafood based marinara perhaps with a drizzle of balsamic glaze over the top instead off that mayo rubbish. You’re welcome in advance.
