A really nice little diner in a strip mall. Exactly the type of place you want to go and have breakfast at. It was very busy on a Monday morning so you know all the locals come to this place. I had a half order of biscuits and gravy and a blueberry pancake. Both were great

We had a nice first timer experience here. The place was still relatively busy for late on a Thursday morning so that is encouraging.
It is dated and fun. Overall it looks like the place could use a once over on the clean scale, but the ‘divey’ feeling added to the fun experience. The wait staff was friendly and loud while they bantered with the regulars and making us feel welcome . Out waitress was friendly and helpful. We were close the the window to the kitchen so we got to see a lot of yummy looking food come out. The prices were fair and the food was all pretty good. Pancakes were massive and slightly undercooked. But everything else was on point.

Stopped in for breakfast and got the Everything Hashbrowns. Food was good, the place is always busy and packed, parking is not the best but doable and like everything else nowadays food is pricey. But a good solid place for breakfast in Des Moines.

This is my in law’s cafe of choice. They always have to make the stop when they are in town.
We got:
• chicken melt w/ fries (5/5)
• cinnamon french toast half order (5/5)
• patty melt w/ fries; “best patty melt I have ever had. I would recommend it to anyone.” 5/5)
The staff is so lovely and welcoming. It’s very cozy. All 5 of us got shirts because we are frequent flyers lol.

This place is always phenomenal. They’re usually packed so we go during odd hours. We went around 12:30pm today and grabbed some seats at the bar. Once you sit down service is pretty fast. My go-to is Steak and Eggs! Everything is always cooked exactly the way I ask. The hash browns are always super crispy! Today I got a biscuit instead of toast and ordered an extra side of the gravy. YUM!!! There was so much food but I enjoyed every bite! I’ve only had breakfast food here. I’m sure their lunch dishes are just as good. Highly recommend!

They don’t even bother acknowledging you if you are not a regular customer. They will skip over you to take care of regular customers. waited and waited so finally just left. As i was leaving they stuck their nose up in the air as if i shouldn’t be offended by this EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE!

Really warm and comfy atmosphere. The dine in can’t fit up to 45 people. Plenty of space but when it’s the rush hour, you might have to come in early as there will be a line. Trust me, the food is worth the wait 🙂
The food being serve here are delicious (specially for the affordable price), you have to try out their Waveland’s beat skillet! It’s delicious and well season! It’s a decent size for one person serving but not to worry cause you can always order anything you want in the menu half the size. My favorite food here is their hash brown, it’s golden brown crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, super delicious !
There limit parking on the front of the dine in but you can park on the street. It’s usually a very short walk to the restaurant.
It’s a family friendly restaurant and the waitresses here are super friendly and sweet. If you have any questions at all they will have the answer waiting for you. They serve they food hot and fast! If you’re hungry, there won’t be a long wait right after placing your order.
