West Chester has it’s fair share of Mexican restaurants and El Trompo adds to the list. Luckily it can hold it’s own with an extensive menu, good food and friendly service. I stopped in for lunch and they started me off with a bowl of salsa and corn chips. I ordered their Lunch Special #19 which was grilled shrimp and onions served with a salad of lettuce, tomato and sliced avocado, Mexican rice, and a couple of warm, flour tortillas ($12.99). Portions were more than adequate. My meal had 10 medium shrimp which turned out to be more than I could eat. Unless you eat like a Sumo wrestler, you won’t go away hungry from here. Both the salsa and the shrimp had a mild heat level which I liked. They have a full bar and an extensive drink menu. Outdoor seating is available in the parking lot area. It’s not very inviting but it IS outdoor seating. The atmosphere inside is nice but it’s a big open space so noise levels when they are busy could be high. I plan to go there for dinner soon.

Went here for dinner with my family. Really fun atmosphere. It’s was loud so it was hard to really talk to each other but it’s was over all great. Drinks were good, food was good, entertainment was great! We had no idea that a darling transformer robot and pig would come out and dance. We all left with smiles and will come back again.

Our absolute go-to Mexican spot every time we visit Ohio! The food is consistently amazing, but what made this extra special was our waitress April – she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

Seriously the best Mexican food I’ve had here. Tried it for the first time this past week as takeout and goodness I just want their tacos every single day! I’m also very picky about rice and beans, but theirs slapppppp! Ate every single bite. Delicious! Also appreciate them having a ton of kid meal options! Makes it to where I can actually get Mexican more often!

Great food! Server didn’t actually serve us our drinks but rather sat the box down and I had to hand them out, no biggie, just a bit odd. Robot man was a real fun surprise. Bdays are certainly celebrated loudly and with hupe here. Have fun!

Not only is the food very good, they have a lot of fun with the presentation. From smoking drinks, table side guac, a flowering tree, and an in house DJ, the experience is entertaining.

Had a work dinner here and it was fantastic. The customer service went above and beyond. They were able to easily take care of a large group (around 20) with attentiveness and great energy. The food and drinks are also all really good. Great queso, chips, and salsa as well. The atmosphere is positive too!!
