First time visiting this restaurant and it was very nice. The food was good and the prices wasn’t bad. We had the patty melt with fires that came with Swiss, mushrooms, grilled onions on a marple rye bread. And a burger call the smokestack topped with brisket, BBQ, swiss, and onion rings. I asked for the onion not to be on there. But what I didn’t know was red onions, lettuce and tomato was also included. But I took those off since I don’t like them. And instead of fries I got tots. The only thing I didn’t like was the tots were fried a little too hard. And we both had sweet tea; which was great. I will be going back. And both came with a slice pickle.

Nice place to grab lunch. Service was fast and efficient. There’s a beer/ cocktail list if you want to unwind.

Took our server’s recommendation of the brisket sandwich, it was a perfect portion, VERY tasty, with a generous dollop of cole slaw on top. GET THE TOTS. They were the crispiest tots, salted just right! Not a lot of parking spaces but we lucked out right up front. Has a nice outdoor patio and a pretty decent beer selection. Cute place that used to be a gas station back in the day!

I went there today for the first time, and I was very happy with my meal.I ordered the panini and sweet potato fries, and it was all delicious! I don’t live close by, but it would definitely be worth the trip to visit again. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our group, the place was clean, the service was great, the food was hot, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it!

The food was excellent and really enjoyed the overall vibe of the place. Clearly an old car garage redesigned into a restaurant and pub of sorts. Service was equally great during our visit. Such a neat place.

Went here today for lunch round 11am with my guy friend…I had got the build your burger with a sweet tea. My first time and the burger and fries were so good and delicious . The food came out hot and the waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. I usually take pictures, yet I was so hungry. Hahahah…If you are ever I the college Park, Ga area… definitely check them out!!

We visited Brake Pad Restaurant based on all the great reviews, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. We waited over an hour for our food while several tables around us, who arrived much later, were served well before us. When we brought it to the manager’s attention, their response was nonchalant and dismissive, which made the situation even more frustrating.
While the restaurant may have a strong reputation, they need to be much more conscious of food order timing and customer service. A good atmosphere and reviews don’t mean much if guests feel ignored and undervalued. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because customers deserve better.

We love brake pad. We have been regulars for years. Service is always great. Drinks are always well made. The food, while fairly standard bar food, is really good. In particular, their burger was one of the best in Atlanta, and made lists for top ten burgers a couple of times. I’m writing this review about the burger. This is to management, why on earth would you change your burger meat from award winning, your best selling food feature, to what now seems to be pre frozen patties. Something has changed monumentally with who you are sourcing your beef with. We were shocked at the drop in quality when we had your party melt two weeks ago. We thought maybe you ran out of your normal beef and maybe it was a sub, a one off. Nope, we came back last night for the patty
melt and you have definitely made a change and not for the better. Locals loved your burgers. I know beef is expensive, but I’d rather you increase the cost of the burger than try to pass of the beef you switched to. Changing something so pivotal to your menu, just isn’t a good move, imo. We wont order the burger anymore, and that’ll drop out visits in half. Please bring back the old recipe.

I’ve been going to brake pad for YEARS!!! I’ve even been to their sister location in Decatur universal joint before even knowing about brake pad. I absolutely love it but unfortunately today I had a bad experience. I went ordered my food, drinks and paid my bill. Once I left the bartender who assisted me followed me out of the establishment and complained about his tip!! Remind you I’ve been going here for YEARS and have always given a GREAT tip and have always had a great time; no complaints but sometime people are going through things and you never know how peoples jobs and finances are set up. I still wanted to treat myself and a friend to one of our favorite spots and I did and paid my bill and STILL left a tip of what I could. I would’ve loved to leave more but I’m a government worker who is going through the a shut down and did what I could. I was just so very disappointed in how the worker followed me out as if I didn’t pay or something. I don’t know but it definitely sucks to have a place you love to go to, a nice neighborhood place treat you that way.

My coworkers and I needed somewhere to eat near our hotel and decided to go with this restaurant. Glad we did! We started with the brisket nachos as an appetizer which were absolutely delicious. Just wish the portion was a bit larger. We all got burgers and they were delicious. Only complaint is the meat was cooked slightly over what we requested with each our orders. No big deal considering the taste and quality. The staff was friendly and service quick. My favorite part is that you can have either fries or tots with the burgers. The atmosphere is definitely warm and causal. Seat yourself and a staff member will be with you shortly. Overall, recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a place to eat.
