The food we ordered was really good but there were a few dishes ewe had which could have been better. The serving sizes were really generous though and for two propel we could hardly finish all the dishes, so I would recommend this for a bigger group of people to really enjoy all the dishes the place has to offer.
The service from Amir, out waiter, was really incredible though! It was our first wedding anniversary and they went above and beyond to organise something really special (they had the chef come out and I helped make the traditional dish Mulukhiyah as a special surprise) for our anniversary on top of the dessert. We can’t recommend Amir enough and they really made our anniversary special.
The atmosphere of the place was really Greta because we had Kareem playing the Qanun and it really added to the ambience of the place away from the hustle and bustle.

This is a phenomenal authentic Egyptian restaurant. World class service and food. We tried hawashy, stuffed pigeons, lesan asfour soup, molokhia, … everything was authentic Egyptian and elegant presentation and service. The advantage is that it is less crowded than the commercial authentic food places. Our server was mr. Mohamed fekry who did an amazing job that we had to stop by a second time and try it.

Nice restaurant inside the Intercontinental at City Stars. Due to its location, it’s priced higher than average. The food was good tasting but very similar to other local restaurants. The difference is the setting and presentation of the food. It’s presented in an elegant way and situated by the pool. The area is very nice and enjoyable

Got the game bird lover meal set, which was way more food than expected. The two of us could not finish all that food, I reckon it would be more like 3-4 people. They had live music, the atmosphere was nice and quaint and the staff were friendly. Service was a little slow though even though it was fairly empty

Great quality food. My husband and I travelled from Australia and ate here on the first and last night of our trip. The food was the best we had during our two week trip. I highly recommend eating here. It’s a little hidden. You have to go into the Intercontinental Hotel and walk down the stairway at the rear of the foyer. It’s also right next to a shopping centre. Worth checking out.
