Nice attentive staff, good food and average value for money.
I ordered:
– Filet mignon (perfectly tender and properly cooked to order. Good taste from the grill)
– Green beens (standard green beans. Good, but nothing out of the ordinary)
– Charred Brussel sprout (Good, nicely charred without overcooking)
– Mac & Cheese (nice bake, but a bit bland)
– Mashed potatoes (did not order, but was given by mistake – at no extra charge. Not much taste to this side, would do well with some butter and seasoning)
– New York Cheesecake (from The Cheesecake Factory so it was as expected – very good)

Total cost around 80$.

We had the Top Sirloin Steak at Black Angus — it was the best steak we had during our vacation in the Western USA (October 2025)! Maria took excellent care of us and gave great recommendations — the same goes for the manager. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back.

12 of us went for my Brothers Birthday celebration and everything went so smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious . My brother ordered a rack of ribs, it was so fun watching him try to eat this ginormous plate of ribs! Several of us ordered steaks and they were all cooked really well.

We made reservations for 8:30 PM on Valentine’s Day and were not seated until around 9:00 PM. While we understand that holidays can be busy, a 30-minute delay with a reservation was disappointing.

After being seated, it took about 16 minutes before we received bread or drinks—and that only happened after we had to get the attention of a manager. The manager was very helpful and apologetic, which we appreciated. However, the overall service experience continued to decline from there.

We ordered both an appetizer and our entrées, but after waiting 20–30 minutes with nothing arriving at the table, we felt our evening was unfortunately ruined and decided to leave. When we spoke to a staff member about the situation, she did not seem concerned or apologetic, which added to the frustration. As we were preparing to leave, we were told that our food was ready. We explained that we had not even received our appetizer and had already decided to leave.

What was especially disappointing was that no compensation or meaningful effort was offered to address the poor experience, despite us having spent nearly two hours there without dining. We also noticed that two parties who were seated after us had already received drinks and completed their meals, which was confusing and concerning.

We dine here 7–8 times a year and consistently tip at least 20%, so this experience was particularly discouraging. While we understand the challenges of a busy holiday, preparation and service standards should reflect that. Unfortunately, this visit has left us reconsidering returning anytime soon.

First time I’ve been to Black Angus and I can say I will definitely be back when I’m in town. There was a slight weight because it was dinner time on a Friday night but, that’s to be expected. I had the dinner for one and it was great value, shrimp cocktail, ribeye, and cookie dessert. Service was excellent and didn’t make me feel rushed.

We wanted to enjoy a good time with the family. My daughter’s birthday is today, and we went to this place to celebrate. It was simply disgusting. What a terrible time, horrible. I don’t think it’s a good place to spend time with the family. A bug on my plate of food. Please take care of hygiene and the health of the customers. Disappointing.

Our experience was great overall. Our server Andrea was attentive even though she had a party for 10+ of kids going to winter formal sitting next to us. The food and service were great, I highly recommend getting reservations. We had ours at 530pm, got there around 510pm, and did not get seated until 540pm.

Overall the restaurant was nice and the theme is western.
Had a few mixed drinks that were average.
Ordered the tomahawk steaks which we ordered medium well.
The steak was nice and juicy not dry at all.
We also ordered the wagon wheel sampler and everything on it was really good.
The salads were nice and fresh ordered the Caesar salad.
Our server was very nice and was at our table constantly asking if we needed anything.
Very good service.
Overall it’s was a nice dinner.

Our last visit to Black Angus was about 7-8 years ago in Valencia, CA. Tonight, my husband made a dinner reservation at Black Angus in Bakersfield, CA. The whole experience was truly wonderful—from the perfect temperature and presentation of the food to the wide variety of main courses and side dishes that suited most appetites. Our server, Maya, was absolutely fantastic; she genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. Her attentive service when taking our orders, her knowledge of the menu, and quick drink refills truly showed her dedication. Mr. Nathaniel even stopped by our table to check on us, providing thoughtful and sincere service that added a personal, caring touch. While other staff members are likely to offer similar kindness, I especially recommend asking for Maya and Mr. Nathaniel for a truly memorable meal. Don’t forget to sign up for their rewards program, as Maya suggested—you can start earning rewards on your visit and use them right away! The atmosphere here is warm, friendly, and inviting, from the moment you park in a clean, well-lit parking lot to when you head to the clean, well-stocked bathroom. Even tonight, when the place was busy, they still made us feel special with their personal attention and had no delay in serving us.
