Well this time it isn’t the wife that suggested this place. It was my boss. We were in the area so we stopped by here and tried it out for the first time. I ordered the ooey gooey Burger and it was also good. Fresh taste not over seasoned and juicy french fries were good too. What topped everything off was the house made root beer that served in a chilled mug. There was no need for dessert for me because that root beer did it for me. And being served in the chilled mug. Just topped off everything for me. What a great place to enjoy a burger and fries with House made root beer.
So if you haven’t been here which includes my wife laugh out loud. I’ll definitely be back with my wife in the near future. This is definitely worth the time on the weekend or come in for lunch on the weekday if you’re close enough.

I’ve become a regular here, the server knows my order by heart ; Hobo burger, tater tots, root beer with 2 sides of ranch. The girls are always on top of it. Brownies is affordable, filling and just down right satisfying. The Root beer is Brownies in house recipe. The produce is fresh and they’ve amazing pies. Highly recommend if you need a good burger joint that’s quick, efficient and tastes the same every dang time.

One of the best local spots for a good old fashioned Hamburger at an amazing price.
Another of Tulsa’s bright gems hidden in plain site.
10/10 – 5 stars.

This is a different type of hamburger restaurant. I loved the hamburger but the tater-tots were the best. They are served hot and the crunch sets them apart from others.

Fair warning.. the fries are HUGE and can easily feed two to four people! We made the mistake of ordering 2 fries, plus a basket of onion rings (first timers). This is a great place to eat. The hamburgers were great. The fries are freshly cut. The staff was outstanding. We will eat here again when passing through Tulsa.

The lovely waitress that was there said 5 employees had walked out all at once but her and the cook were hustling to get everything out. Our order was fresh, hot, and correct. We didn’t feel rush at all. They were super kind unlike most people who are stressed and under pressure. We super appreciate them being open on new years day!
The menu is pretty much al a cart. they have combos for $15 but lot of it is a burger for $9 then order a side seperate. Their onion rings are not traditional onion rings, they are more like the onion crispies you’d put on green bean casserole. Very good just not what we were expecting.
If you’ve ever been to Ron’s hamburgers, their fries are the same.
The offer milkshakes in vanilla, chocolate, root beer, and strawberry flavors. Super basic but oh so tasty.

First time eating here and for sure won’t be the last. This laid back, homestyle cooking is what I love. When you first walk in you’re welcomed in to take a seat anywhere. The menu is very simple, and my server Dee did an outstanding job on customer service. The restaurant was started originally by retired military cooks, and the great food still continues. I ordered the “Ultimate Omelette” with home fries cooked to perfection, and a pancake all for $9.75. Thanks Brownies!

I know this place is a Tulsa institution but I was really disappointed in our visit. Had two mugs of root beer and rather than getting fresh, bubbly soda— they have multiple pitchers they fill up from the carbonated soda dispenser. They’re similar to the ones most restaurants keep water and tea in. That means the root beer you get is flat and nasty, and it’s been open to the air with germs from passerby’s getting all in it. Unfortunately, they don’t store it in the back or behind the counter, it just sits on the tops of the booths and at the register. Blegh. Not only that, but the AC wasn’t working well so it was hot and sticky and the dirty tables and chairs make for a really unwelcoming environment.

It was good. The onion rings and fries are really good and the ranch is homemade. The root beat came in a frosted mug. They were person able and kind as well. Great service. I would definitely go back.

Warm and inviting place with friendly staff and really good, freshly prepared food! The fries were obviously freshly cut and cooked perfectly. They were delicious! They were lightly salted, allowing everyone to add their perfect about of seasoning to them, which is perfect. Since not everyone at my table likes the same level of saltiness. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient and you can tell that there are local regulars who enjoy this place often. This was a great stop on our recent burger quest and we were not disappointed. There was a bit more seating here, than some other burger joints as well. We did not have to wait for a seat, but did take the last available booth, so that was lucky for us. The pies looked amazing and were crazy tall. We didnt have room for pie when we visited but I definitely have to try them on my next trip! We will visit again!
