Reviews
Seafood 231 is a solid choice for fresh seafood in the area! The food tasted incredibly fresh, and you can tell they take pride in their ingredients. For a local seafood restaurant, it definitely exceeded expectations.
The atmosphere was nice, and the service was good—friendly and welcoming. We did have a small issue with the ticket, but it was quickly corrected without any hassle, which speaks to their commitment to customer satisfaction.
Overall, a great place to enjoy quality seafood without having to travel too far. I’d definitely come back!
Entered about 2pm and the place only had a few remaining lunch customers left eating.
Wife and I ordered Shrimp and Catfish combo Plate and Oyster Plate. I also got Onion rings and Fried Okra. Wife got coleslaw and season fries. She and I both agree the fish was fried to perfection.
The Oysters were fried well and served nice and hot. The onion rings were fried very crispy and had good onion slices inside each. The fried okra was very crisp, just the way I and my wife like it, a little brown. The fries were okay and the coleslaw in my opinion was too liquidly and sweet.
My wife tasted an oyster and mentioned the taste was off. I didn’t notice and so ate them all up. May have been the oil fried in.
Service was very good and attentive. My sweet tea glass didn’t stand a chance of running empty. By the time we finished our dinner the place was empty of customers.

Update:
My wife and I stopped in again for lunch today. We were promptly greeted and seated. Today’s lunch was a fried shrimp dinner, fries and slaw. My wife had a combo of fried shrimp and flounder with okra and hush puppies. Both dinners were very satisfying. So I have added some more photos of our dinners. I want to be clear on my rating. The building is an old pizza hut. It’s dated. However I can see the owners improving the place little by little. Service was great. I’m stepping up my rating on food quality and taste from 4 to 5 stars. So I can certainly recommend them for a very good seafood meal.
We have dined 4 different occasions since they have opened. This has emerged as one of our most favorite places in the Wiregrass. Fried Catfish – Outstanding, Fried Shrimp – 5 Stars, Fried Oysters- Reliably delicious. Great wings, ask for drums only – bigger than KFCs chicken legs….. Tonight our server recommended the platter special with House seasoning. A crab boil kinda thing. Best ever. Most buttery seasoning ever and the clams stole the show, and the snow crab of course. Our new Favorite.
