Sunset Grill: The Million-Dollar View That’s Worth Every Cent! ✨
If you are going to eat dinner in Moab, you must do it here. Sunset Grill isn’t just a restaurant; it’s the ultimate dining destination, sitting high atop a cliff with a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Moab Valley. The photos don’t even do justice to watching the sunset paint the red rock—it’s an unforgettable, classy experience!
You’re dining in history here, too! This gorgeous spot was once the mansion of the famous “Uranium King,” Charlie Steen, back in the 1950s. The owners kept the charm and added fine dining, making it the perfect blend of Old West legend and modern elegance. The outdoor patio, all lit up at night, is pure magic.
The food is absolutely excellent, a perfect match for the incredible atmosphere. The menu is classic steak and seafood, and everything is clearly made with care. And while the view steals the show, the service is a close second: our server, Ugur, was fantastic and ensured our special evening was handled flawlessly.
If you want a dining memory that lasts long after your trip is over, make a reservation at Sunset Grill. It truly is a view above the city!

Wonderful food! We enjoyed everything we had, no exceptions!! The views are great! We had a large table for our party of ten inside right at the window and loved it. I wish the service was better 🙁 we could never get more bottles of water since he never came back. Once we ordered, we only saw our server again when we had to hunt him down for the check. The other servers just delivered food (unfortunately not well timed with apps and entrees mixed together) and didn’t really bother to help us get anything further. I would come back and sit outside and just be prepared for the lackluster service. The food and views are worth the irritation!

The food was not bad but not great. For the price I’d hope for more. The staff was nice and attentive. The view was pretty. Parking is terrible.

We got the brushetta which was missing ingredients it was advertised with. It was basically tomatoes drenched in balsamic dressing and made the toast soggy.

The artichoke bites were good but cold. And the sauce given was an odd combination.

The French onion soup was mostly broth. Very little onions, bread, or cheese inside.

It was all kind of blah. We didn’t want to order more food in fear it was going to be a waste of $200.

The history of the restaurant is very interesting from the Uranium mining industry and there are artifacts set up around the restaurant. The sunset and city view are beautiful from the outside deck. Great service and food!

The place is amazing. We went around 6 to catch the sunset. The view in the patio is stunning.
Staff is super nice and welcoming, the food was incredible. We had Bruschettas and artichoke baguettes and then the rib with mushrooms, grilled shrimps and salad and veggies. Everything was perfectly cooked and presented.
Tip: Don’t order appetizers if you plan to eat the whole meat in the entrees! It’s a really big portion!
We had a couple of drinks each and they were also awesome.
The price is really good for the food and quality you get, plus the unique location and experience.
Super great experience! Our congratulations to the staff and manager. We will be back! ♥️

We noticed this place while driving into town and decided to have dinner here on our last night. It’s located on the side of a cliff so it’s difficult to miss There’s a shuttle that will pick you up from the hotel. Not sure about the frequency. We chose to drive ourselves all the way up. Practice caution when doing so as there is only one turn out on this one-lane road. The restaurant has a smaller, main parking lot and a larger overflow lot further up the mountain. They only take reservations for parties over 6 but the wait for a table wasn’t long. They’ve got several extensive seating areas. There’s also a wait area out front with water available if needed.

We chose to sit outside even though it had been sprinkling and windy. It didn’t end up raining and we were able to eat dinner as the sun set behind the mesa. The food was okay. Kind of French-inspired. The ingredients were plentiful and tasted fresh. It was just a little bland. Our server (Eric, I think) was very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to others visiting the area.

I was hiking at the archers when someone recommended this restaurant to me. I loved the free shuttle service. They picked me up immediately. I had the New York strip with mushrooms onions, vegetables, a loaf of homemade bread and salad. It was delicious. My whole meal was $40 and I was full. It comes as a baked potato. I just substitute vegetables. The entire staff was friendly, kind, professional efficient, and went above and beyond. The view is spectacular! At night, the restaurant is lit up with lights. I included a picture.
There’s a lot of history about the building and the area. I enjoyed all of it.

Interesting place. Up a steep, paved, narrow winding road. Make sure you don’t imbibe in to much wine or driving out could be an adventure. We parked in the overflow parking, which is a little bit of a steep trek. We were seated promptly even though they dont take reservations. We were a bit skeptical as the reviews were a mixed bag on service. That’s what we received. Started off strong with ordering and drinks and totally dropped off a cliff after we received our food. Service was close to none existent after that. Literally had to hail the server down repeatedly. The food was good but not the additive type. The little loaf of bread was a nice touch. i The old equipment and history of the restaurant is very interesting. It is worth a go just for the experience, good and bad .

This Restaurant is very scenic. We celebrated my husband’s birthday with 7 of our friends, we got shuttled to the restaurant which was pretty neat. Our waiter was awesome and funny. The food was good, filling. The full moon mojoito drink was perfect along with the Artichoke Baguettes appetizer. Pretty expensive meal.
