Brews Taphouse: A Strip Mall Gem with a Big Heart (and Big Burgers!)
Forget everything you thought you knew about strip mall dining, because Brews Taphouse in Chandler is here to prove that fantastic food and even better vibes can be found right next to a dry cleaner. This place isn’t just a small bar; it’s a culinary hug with a great attitude!
The Dream Team: Palmer & Vanessa
Seriously, give Palmer and Vanessa a raise. They weren’t just servers/bartenders; they were the absolute joy of the evening! They delivered great service, sure, but it was their genuine positivity and sparkling personality that truly made the night. They kept the energy up without being overbearing—a tricky balance they nailed perfectly!
Sidekick Superstars: Tater Tots & Onion Rings
Let’s talk sides. First, the sweet potato tater tots were excellent. Crispy, sweet, savory—the perfect upgrade to a classic. But the real MVP? The onion rings! These aren’t your freezer-aisle specials; they are beer-battered in-house and served in a glorious mountain that practically warrants its own zip code. You get a TON, and they are the perfect crunchy companion to the main event…
The Main Event: The Bourbon Trail Burger
I dove headfirst into the Bourbon Trail burger, and all I can say is WOW. It was utterly amazing and perfectly cooked. My only regret? Not being a professional competitive eater. This monster of a sandwich was so loaded and glorious that I had to surrender my hands and opt for the civilized route: the knife and fork burger method. If you’re looking for a burger that challenges you in the best way possible, this is it!
The Vibe Check: Just Right
For a spot tucked away in a strip mall, the environment is surprisingly wonderful. It has just enough lively background noise to feel fun and social, but it was perfectly pitched so that my mother, who’s hard of hearing, could actually enjoy the conversation without straining. That, my friends, is the mark of a truly thoughtful establishment.
Bottom line: Go to Brews Taphouse! You’ll leave with a full belly, a happy heart, and a new appreciation for the simple brilliance of house-made beer-battered onion rings.

My friend suggested I try Brews the next time I was in town.

This is a cozy spot that is pretty laid back. I ordered the Balboa burger, sweet potato tots, and pretzel and cheese. They were generous portion sizes. Everything was yummy!! I absolutely loved the pretzel.

This place has a bar inside and provides outdoor seating as well. Had the blueberry cider which was the best cider I’ve ever had in my life. Ordered the state 48 burger and pretzel and beer cheese. This place stays very busy. In kinda a unique place, in the fry’s parking lot. Service was great. The burger and sweet tots were 10 out of 10.

Sincerely I can say this has been the best burger I have had in Arizona. I had the McLovin burger and its all you can ever want. As you can see the menu is extensive with a wide variety of burgers that you can choose from. Definitely will be headed back for another date brunch with the Mrs.

First time at brews and I thought the environment was cool. I ordered a cobb salad with grilled chicken. I was not impressed. Now don’t get me wrong everything about the salad was on point until I got to the lettuce. The lettuce was for topping burgers. Small squared pieces. It would have taken forever to eat that. The other people I went with enjoyed their food. They got wings and burgers. I would give it a second shot but not with the salad.

I was in the mood for a burger and wanted to give this place a try. It’s a small little restaurant & bar that reminds you of your classic style neighborhood bar.

The burgers were delicious and cooked perfectly. I ordered the PB&J burger, and it was delicious. The jam was really impressive. It has just the right amount of spice to sweetness ratio. We also ordered the O.G, which was their classic burger. It was equally as good. We tried both the sweet potato tots as well as the french fries. Both were really good, so you can really go wrong with whatever sounds good.

Overall, it was a great place for burgers and beer, and the service was great. We would definitely come back again.

The only thing that could make this place better would be more seating and a larger space but that’s only because it’s so popular! The food is always delicious but special shout out to the buffalo wings- it’s a hard one to nail but these were absolute perfection. Never had a burger I didn’t enjoy from here and the selection of beer is modest but diverse.

Cute spot for a delicious burger. Great service and awesome selection of local brews.
Balboa and bourbon burgers are both delicious. We added the pin sauce and jalapeno BBQ to them and it kicked it up a notch. The Balboa is like a gourmet Philly cheasteak, and the bourbon is crispy and tasty but needed the jalapeno BBQ. Fries were not crispy which I’m fine with, they were great with a bit of salt pepper and ketchup. Onion rings were crispy and tasted good.
We will come back and try more apps.
Prices are very fair, service was personal and friendly.
It’s in a strip shop so it’s small. But I love the honey vibe. Great for eat in or takeout.
Highly recommend you give it a shot if you like burgers.

The burger options were great. They offered a variety of different burgers, and each one sounded delicious. I stuck with the classic burger, and that was super tasty.

It’s a pretty small establishment. When it’s busy, just know you will be waiting for a while for a table. If you go with a group, you will most likely be eating outside. Most of the seating inside is for the bar area with the exception of 3 tables.

Overall, my family had a good experience. It’s a bummer on the limited seating available, though it seemed they only had 2 servers working all the sections.
