A solid 2 on the food. The service was fine. Nothing extraordinary. We didn’t ask for too many things and the waitress seemed very shy. Ordered the tamales and the fajitas. The free chips and salsa were good. The sauces were on point. The fajitas came out on a plate (not sizzling) we had the chicken and steak. The steak was cut very thin and very over cooked The chicken was plain- not a lot of taste. The rice had no flavor at all. The tamales were not really any better. $38 for lunch not bad pricing- but the food doesn’t reflect the pricing as it was not up to par. I do have to add The restaurant was very clean. Overall would not return.

So I didn’t go to the restaurant as the truck was parked across from my home as I was returning And I thought, yummy tacos. I was not disappointed at all. The Birria tacos were delicious and I should have asked for a little more cheese being a cheese lover, but it wasn’t needed. They were flavorful as well as the dipping stew and the lemon Judy put out over the top. Will definitely be visiting the restaurant as I can’t wait to try other opened on the menu. Yummy

Taqueria El Mexicano is the one Mexican restaurant I keep coming back to. A friend brought me, and I keep coming back with everyone I know. The food is really delicious and flavorful, the prices are reasonable, and the service is always great. The inside is really cute and homey, I hate super plain and modern decor but they really give the place life. Everything is fresh and authentic, I had the birria tacos and my boyfriend had the California burrito and we left feeling so satisfied. We also had the vanilla tres leches which was really good too. All around, one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Burlington county, if not New Jersey.

As a Mexican food fan, this place is top notch. It’s no frills, but that is what it’s supposed to be. I got the steak burrito and guacamole and chips. Wifey got the chicken tacos. All made perfectly.

Where to begin…
My family and I decided to try this place out for their breakfast buffet one Sunday morning. We called and asked the young lady if they’re still serving breakfast in which she replied “yes” and that it stops around 12p-1p. Once we get to the restaurant (@10a), we were told that the buffet was only lunch but we could still order breakfast. Annoyed, we moved on and decided to order from the breakfast menu. We got 2 orders of pancakes (one with strawberries and one with bananas) as well as a banana smoothie. The pancakes tasted like they had been left in an oven in the middle of the Sahara… after being licked by camels. I asked the girl for syrup and after a few minutes, she brings us packs of jelly. I thought this was an attempt to give us anything as they ran out of syrup but as we look at the next table, we see that she brought them syrup. We ask the other table if they asked for syrup and they replied yes but noted that their son stopped eating the pancakes after complaining about a “funny taste”. Once we asked the waitress why we didn’t get any, she simply shrugged and retrieved 2 packs of syrup from the back without even an apology. The bananas and strawberries were on the verge of rot (see pics) and the smoothie was more like overly sweetened banana milk. We asked for the check and left everything on the table. Between the service and food alone, we will never return here. 0-stars.

We ate here Saturday,June 14th, 2025, around dinner time; it was our first visit.
The food was very good!
BYOB, Clean appearance, clean bathroom.
Good Food with a nice presentation, Spicy Salsa. Priced right!

The Huaraches were tasty and crispy.

Great Mexican food is sparse in these neck of the woods, so when you find a good spot, it’s worth giving them a shout out.
The staff was friendly and prompt, the portions are very very generous, and overall, the food is darn good. I got the huaraches and I didn’t not expect it to be as big as it was. This is authentic Mexican food. Good taste and good service. Will be returning.

Great authentic Mexican food. Super flavorful and lots of authentic selections. Service is always friendly, dining in they could turn off the Blinky lights, and maybe it wouldn’t be as distracting.
