Do yourself a favor and swing by, there is something for everyone here! We stopped twice during our visit to Cleveland.

The first visit was for lunch and thankfully they were serving the dinner menu as well because I was dying for some molokhya! It was delicious and the chicken was AMAZING!! It definitely hit the spot!! We also started with the muhamarra which was excellent. My husband ordered the shawarma bowl, that was just OK, it needed more flavor.. maybe if it was served with Taziki instead of Tahini?

Our second stop was for breakfast: we did sun rise on the Nile and OMG the Foul (fava beans) was out of this world, it was all garlic but it was soo good, we practically licked the plate! The pickles were excellent as well. I loved how crunchy was the Falafel from the outside but it was a bit dry on the inside, it could’ve used tahini or taziki on the side to dip in. We ordered the shakshouka as well, I personally prefer the eggs a bit more runny than how they were served.. it also needed something else to give it more flavor (but that is because tomatoes don’t have taste in the US)

Overall excellent, if I ever return to Cleveland, I will definitely go back. It is also within walking distance from Cleveland Clinic

Our hunch was right, and the other positive reviews ARE true! We never enjoyed Egyptian food before and this experience was a perfect introduction. Omar helped us begin the evening by bringing us a surprise — meaning, we let him choose our starters. It was perfect! Our entrees were from the Egyptian portion of the menu and we couldn’t have been happier. From the cozy classy atmosphere, to the cardamom scented Turkish coffee (and Carrot Cake!), we must share our compliments to the owner, Omar, the young woman on shift with him, and those in the kitchen that made this wonderful experience possible. Thank you so much!

Nice and cozy atmosphere, great hearty service, amazing food and a hungry family made a perfect match! My husband, my kids and myself were so satisfied with this place!
We really enjoyed everything we ordered, such a shame we don’t live in Cleveland to eat here more often.

The restaurant has a cozy setting perfect for a family dinner, work lunch or a get-together with friends. The food was delicious and the service was great. Their new menu has lots of options to choose from, I had a hard time selecting just one item. We got the Chipotle Chicken and Shrimp Pasta and the Shawarma Bowl. They also have a wide variety of desserts to choose from, my favourite was the snickers cheesecake!

First time in Cleveland for a trip to the VA with a family member and this delight hit our radar as we searched for Reuben sandwiches. There is a high bar having delighted in the greatness that upstate NY offered for Reubens, and Urban Kitchen & Deli hits the MARK!!!

OH MY GAWD this sandwich is delicious! STACKED AND BALANCED! Perfect amount of saurkraut and thousand island and spot on fries! Norfolk…I’m sorry cause you’re my home now but I’m thinking of moving just for the sandwich.

But the cheesecakes seal the deal – I’m calling a realtor after I finish to discuss selling the house in Virginia – cause these are decadent and massive. 50% more than CCF and 200% more flavorful! And costs less than CCF slices. Banana creme, caramel apple, or strawberry… I mean look at the pictures!!!

Amazing! And FYI I even asked ChatGBT for the top rated deli’s in CLE with top rated Reubens and it couldnt have been more right. Top of the list and now Top on mine too! Go here whether you are local or from OOT, worth every dollar.

Went on Saturday at 1, didn’t realize it was a brunch menu. Not many traditional menu items for brunch. Tried the falafel wrap. It was fine. Very small for the price but fries were good. The burger was very overcooked and the bun was a rock, not edible had to take the top off which proved messy. Service was friendly but a slow, food came out fast.

We stopped in for a late lunch after a visit to the Natural History museum. The food was very good and a generous portion, enough for lunch the next day. I had the Kusheri, an Egyptian dish combining elbow macaroni, rice, and lentils topped with a not too spicy tomato sauce and fried onions — an interesting combination that I never thought of putting together, even though I eat large quantities of lentils as a vegan. My friends had the club sandwich and the classic burger. Guessing by the fact that they polished off every morsel, it must have been quite delicious. Their sandwiches also came with fries — I am a huge fan of French fries, so I helped myself to some of theirs. The fries were excellent.

The service friendly and welcoming.

A good place for an enjoyable lunch experience after a bunch of walking around in the museum.

Very intetesting menu with Egyptian offerings. The turkish coffee was delicious…$5.00. My chicken shwarma bowl was not great. It came out cold the first time, then luke warm when I complained and got a new bowl. I wouldnt order that again. My friend did really like the falafel wrap. We both have dietary restrictions, so it’s easy to find vegetarian and gluten free options.

Amazing service. Corn-beef sandwich melts in your mouth. Bacon and meat lovers omelette also so tasty. Best buttermilk pancakes we’ve had in a while (and we’re from NY!)
