Best Doughnut Value in Jacksonville Illinois. Went in at 6AM, Kim was behind the counter, and a customer had just called. I explored the cases of tasty treats, looking for a maple covered John with bacon sprinkled on top.
Unfortunately she didn’t have it, that’s OK, she had many more to choose from so I did. I picked a huge cinnamon roll covered in maple, a John covered in maple, another two with chocolate and filled with whip cream icing. She rang it up, $6.44, I said excuse me I think you only rang up the cinnamon roll, she said, all our treats are just over a dollar, I was surprised , my normal is over $20 for 5, what a great value.
I showed Kim a picture from a customer who listed her having a maple glazed, bacon cover doughnut , she asked me to send it to her, so I did, along with the rest of a $10 as her treats are amazingly fresh and delicious.
My wife loves maple covered in bacon , hopefully the next time we are in town, we will find it on the menu! Tastes like pancakes with maple syrup and bacon .

Shout-out to the owner of Kim’s Other Place for his generosity and amazingly delicious donuts!!!!! We ate at his other establishment, Kim’s Place and he was kind enough to donate 2 dozen donuts to our college track team. He 1000000% made our day!!!! It was an assortment of donuts and when I tell you THESE are donuts, I mean these were the biggest, fluffiest, and best tasting donuts we’ve ever had….hands down! We’ve found our new go-to place next time we’re in town. If you haven’t been, then you definitely need to. Some of the best donuts around hands down.

Used to love this place as it WAS a Jacksonville staple. Since being under new ownership, this place has gone down hill. Went in this morning to get donuts and a muffin. Muffin was stale, donuts were hard and not the melt in your mouth they used to be. Won’t be back, this is what happpens when you try to buy local. Huge disappointment.

I was in on Saturday morning around 10:00am to buy donuts. It was strange, one door was locked, and the other door was open. The “open” sign was still on. I walked in, and no other patron or staff was around. All the donuts that were left were on some sort of shelving system. All the boxes were priced, and they were half open. I started yelling “Hello”, but no one answered. I kept my money, and I walked out. Very odd….

I was passing through Jacksonville for a few days. Came across this place that’s suppose to be the best donuts. I bought some to have for the road and I was so disappointed. They were not good donuts at all. They were hard, and these were freshly made supposedly. I do not recommend it. Dunkin donuts is probably better, and I don’t even like Dunkin.

Recently had a wedding a few weeks ago. We pick SafeCo Donuts for our wedding donuts. So many people enjoyed them and they were by far the best! They also let us use their beautiful cake stand and donut wall, which was a big hit with everyone! The owner was hands down amazing! I would definitely recommend SafeCo Donuts for future weddings!

I contacted Saif for a big order of donuts. I had to pick them up first thing in the morning to hit the road. When I got to the store at 6 AM it was open and my order was waiting on me to be picked up. I can’t thank Safeco bakery enough for their fast, friendly, positive and ability to handle my order.
