Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya (Bellevue Square)

  4.4 – 2,134 reviews   • Ramen restaurant

Social Profile:

Kizuki Ramen’s philosophy is to serve the most traditional, authentic and delicious Japanese ramen that you can possibly have without actually flying to Japan. Kizuki’s food is still prepared the same way as it is in Japan; utilizing an unique method of roasting bones before boiling. Similar to the French style of making consomme, they were the first in the Japanese ramen industry to employ this method. The result is a rich, flavorful broth that is fragrant, and full of depth. Devoted to replicating the incredible flavor of traditional Japanese ramen, if equal substitutes for ingredients are not found within the country, Kizuki Ramen imports the ingredients directly from Japan.

Hip venue serving Japanese noodle soups & small plates, plus whiskey, sake & beer amid artful decor.

I stopped by Kizuki Ramen in Bellevue Square and ordered the Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen (less sodium version). The broth was rich and flavorful without being overly salty, which I really appreciated. It still had that deep umami taste you’d expect from tonkotsu, but felt lighter and more balanced. The noodles had a nice, firm texture and paired perfectly with the broth.

The garlic flavor was noticeable but not overpowering—just the right amount to add warmth and depth. The chashu pork was tender, and the soft-boiled egg was cooked beautifully. The overall portion was satisfying without being too heavy.

Service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant had a cozy, inviting atmosphere despite being inside a busy mall. It’s a great spot for a comforting bowl of ramen, especially if you prefer a customizable salt level.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4.5/5)

Came here as we were looking for a decent place for lunch and this restaurant had high reviews but we were a bit disappointed from our experience.

Inside the restaurant was pretty nice and cozy. My wife and I ordered their Spicy Chicken Tan Tan (my wife said it wasn’t hot temperature so maybe it was sitting for awhile?), Atsuage which is their deep fried tofu and wasn’t anything special and their Takoyaki Octopus Dumplings (too doughy for our liking).

When it came to pay the bill, the server accidently split the bill 3 ways which isn’t what we asked originally as we had 3 couples so we ordered our own food and asked for the bill to be split between the couples. The server said she couldn’t redo the bill(?) to accommodate us but the main issue was that the server did not inform us upfront that if the party was 6 or more then they will automatically add in mandatory gratuity of 18%. We most likely would have not gone to eat here as I don’t feel that any restaurants should charge any mandatory gratuity fee especially when the party is small and if the service was not up to par.

Will not be coming back to this location unfortunately.

Picked up my order TONIGHT, got home, opened the box — and my $18 Mazesoba came WITHOUT the raw egg yolk AND without the crispy fried noodles. Are you kidding me?!
I dug through the noodles. I searched through the soup. Nothing. These are literally the two most important toppings shown front and center in your menu photo. The egg yolk is what makes the sauce rich and creamy, and the crispy noodles are half the texture experience. Without them, I basically paid $18 for plain noodles with some ground chicken and vegetables.
Oh, and the best part? I ordered two bowls of noodles and two soups. Each container had a blank label sticker on it — completely empty, no writing whatsoever. What’s the point of labeling anything if you’re not going to actually label it?!
This is false advertising. If you can’t include these toppings for takeout orders, SAY SO on the menu. Don’t just silently leave them out and hope no one notices. Incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of money. Never ordering from here again.

A very convenient location, especially if you are looking to get your Ramen fix. There was a wait but it is expected on the weekend when Bellevue Square is busy. The broth to the Tonkatsu Ramen was just right. Would eat here again.

The most important thing first: Kayla is the hardest working person in this restaurant I think. she’s super polite, always smiling, staying very friendly and polite even there is not enough staff in the service. Just an excellent employee.!!! I hope the boss who is running this shop is reading this.
The food was good, but also not super exceptional. I had better Ramen before, but I don’t wanna complain. It’s fine. the Gyoza were not so hot anymore when they arrived. but at least they had draft Sapporo beer.
About the ambient: it’s kind of nice but far too cold. I had to keep my jacket on which I really don’t like when I’m eating.

Thank you Kayla!

Decent quality, price and portion for their ramens and appetizers. Tonight’s waiter and waitress were super nice and attentive. Will be back for sure.

BTW, re: wait time, when we got there, it was a Tuesday night around 8pm (they close at 9pm), there was no lines. But it can get busy during weekends and or earlier hours on weekdays. I’ve seen lines and wait time easily go for 45mins or longer.

On Sunday, the restaurant was half empty, and we asked Nolan to seat us at a wider table, as the restaurant was quite empty. But he was determined not to do so. He was very rude and harshly told us to either choose what he offered or not sit down. We’ve never had such poor service at this restaurant before, and we’re regular customers. On a free day, it would have been possible to seat us at a wider table, or be less rude at least.

Hey, we found this awesome little Japanese place, Kozuki, and it’s already one of our go-to spots! It’s got such a cozy vibe, like you’ve stumbled onto a hidden gem. The food is amazing – seriously authentic and delicious. We had the gyoza, perfectly crispy outside, juicy inside; the ramen was so comforting and flavorful, the broth was unreal; and the octopus dumplings were a total surprise, so soft and subtly delicious. You can tell the chefs really care about the ingredients and how they cook things. Plus, it’s not expensive at all, especially for the quality. The service was great too, super friendly and helpful. If you want amazing Japanese food without breaking the bank, you gotta try Kozuki. We’re totally going back!

As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we’ve received amazing service and communication. Although it was a Tuesday, it wasn’t super busy and speaking to them felt like as if they’re our friends! We appreciate them providing us our needs!
