We were pretty disappointed overall, $12 (we drank water) and almost everything we had was cold. The lunch buffet was very limited compared to the last time I was there. Only 2 traditional Asian protein offerings and the usual rangoons (cold), egg rolls (cold), rice, wings (cold), and a few vegetable dishes along with hot/ sour soup and egg drop soup. The entire left side of the buffet in my photo was salad/salad toppings and dessert and the right side was the rest, past that screen was closed off. Most of the pans holding the food almost empty. The hot/sour soup was the best thing I tried, it was one of the only items that was hot and it was good. Everything else was rubbery and cold.
To be fair, we came in around 2:15 and the buffet was closing down at 3:00 so I understand they weren’t trying to make a lot of fresh hot dishes but if you’re still going to charge $12, there should be more to choose from, we shouldn’t be having to choose from just a few pieces in the pan, and it should be at least warm.
A few gripes. With the hibachi dinner you have a choice of soup or salad, but my salad was a soup, drowned in ginger dressing liquid. They serve noodles with the dinner, which I expected to be maybe a yakitori, but were actually just spaghetti noodles which was a little odd. Finally, they will charge you $2 per plate for fried rice with your dinner which is highly inappropriate for hibachi.
The atmosphere was clean and lively, and the staff was attentive without being rushed. We’ll definitely be back for another fun hibachi night soon!It
We both ordered filet mignon and chicken from the hibachi with fried rice.
We ordered soup which came right out, but not something I would recommend, very watered down!
We weren’t even halfway through our soup when our meal came out. They were Plates Of what appeared to be dark me cut up in half inch squares and tough as leather. The chicken was the same way. The dinner was cold and the fried rice had an odd flavor that we had never experienced with fried rice before.
It was apparent that the filet mignon and chicken which had been cut up, had been sitting in a pan prior to being served and not freshly cooked. The steak & chicken were dripping in some kind of oil.
We called the waiter over, and I explained to him that this food was not freshly cooked, it was cold and was extremely tough and hard to chew.
He just stood there and asked what would we like? I replied, I would like a fresh fillet and chicken and fried rice not something that’s been sitting in a pan. He took our food away. Came back within five minutes. The food was extremely hot, but it was the same food he originally took away.
We ate nothing, paid our bill, left a tip and took the food with us. It was later fed to the wildlife behind our home.
We have dined at many Chinese restaurants and have been extremely satisfied. This food was absolutely disgusting !!
