We had a surprisingly nice experience here. They were open late on a Monday night, Aspen served us and was very pleasant. We got the Sicilian deep dish (large) with pepperoni, Italian sausage and bacon. It was DELICIOUS. The sauce was hot (temperature) and stayed hot as we ate somehow. The crust was really crunchy with sesame seeds on the sides. The appearance of the place is unassuming and “hole-in-the-wall,” but the food showed out big time!!!

I’ve always loved Anthony’s pizza. This time, I also ordered the wings which were pricey, but I had high expectations because Anthony’s makes great pizza. I was so disappointed with the wings. When I think of wings, I think of well cooked and crispy skin. These wings had rubbery, flabby skin and I was so grossed out I couldn’t eat it. It honestly looked undercooked. I don’t think I’ll ever order wings from here again!

My 78 year old father just said the Carnivorous Delight Chicago Deep Dish “might be the best pizza I’ve ever had.”

Awesome local Ann Arbor pizza joint! We got a spinach, onion and feta Anthony’s style deep dish and it exceeded our expectations. It’s as good, if not better than some well known Chicago names.

Went to Anthony’s based on the recommendation of a friend, and after seeing rave reviews on Yelp, I expected some seriously amazing pizza. What I encountered was…not quite on that level.
The storefront is not a prize winner, but that’s not problem! The staff is very nice and there weren’t many people at the restaurant when we arrived, so we had plenty of time to order, and could get seats. (The seating is very limited though, be prepared to eat elsewhere). Getting the pizza didn’t take too long, so can’t complain about that!
Ultimately the thing that brought the experience down for me was taste. After all the great rave reviews, I was looking for real Chicago Pizza and this just wasn’t it. It was maybe above average, but not excellent as the reviews stated.

This was some amazing Chicago style pizza. Being from California I never get this so I will always order from here when I am in the area.

Anthony’s exceeded all expectations. I stumbled in for a quick slice and ended up staying for a full meal. The vibe is warm and inviting, the kitchen clearly runs with pride, and everything tastes like it was made from scratch. The personal pizza was incredible — especially the pepperoni with fresh garlic. I’ll be back with friends next time!

Had high expectations but the deep dish pizza fell VERY short of that. I’m from Chicago so I know how Chicago deep dish should taste and maybe that was the problem. There was way too much dough and not enough cheese and/or sauce to compensate. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone who has had true Chicago deep dish because this will not meet expectations at all. Nice try though.

Tried the veggie deep dish pizza by the slice. Crunchy crust, served hot, was delicious. Service was friendly.
