The new owner truly kept this local legend alive. Diners are a true staple in my home state, NJ. Philadelphia has a handful left. The Country Club has been a true staple in the area since I moved here in 2000. Without a doubt they have never failed me. The bakery is always on point. The food is always top notch. The servers are gems too. How do you stay consistent for so long? I do not know but never stop doing your thing. It’s an absolute must do. Now Covid has changed it up so 8p the doors close but that’s ample time to enjoy all they have to offer. Tell the owner I sent you. I’m a regular!

Porche was so wonderful friendly and respectful, the gentlemen walking around making sure everything was okay was great. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere feels amazing.Julio was also amazing, I kept hearing his name lol. Times may have changed, along with some of the neighborhood demographics, but man ole man, the quality remains.

First time back eating at the Country Club in over 10 years.

I happened to see the White Fish platter and decided to order. My partner ordered Eggs, Grits with Turkey Bacon.

The whitefish salad was some of the best I have ever eaten. Bravo to the chef whom I was told makes it from scratch….Also I was given enough whitefish to spread on 3 bagels!!!

And the CC Diner only charged $14.95!!

My partner enjoyed her breakfast as well.

The waitress was so nice and pleasant, as was the manager who greeted us when we walked in.

To top it off, we purchased a small cheesecake for the two of us to take back to our hotel for later and my goodness; the cheesecake is one of the best if not the best I’ve had the pleasure of eating…Soft texture on the outside, and a creamy smooth rich flavor that melts in your mouth.

A must for anyone visiting Philadelphia for a delicious diner experience and a treasure that has been around for over 60 years.

I went here for lunch while I was getting my car inspected at the near by firestone.. I decided to get the rebuen with corned it was good nothing special and it got the job done. But the corned beef in it wasn’t tender and a little on the cheweir side. Overall it an okay dinner. I ate here 3 or 4 times. The food Overall is a 6.5 out of ten. Nothing super amazing just a good spot for a quick it gets the job done bite.

During and right after the pandemic shutdowns, this place really went downhill. I recently tried it again recently with my family and, wow, what a difference! I dont know if new owners took over but the improvement is dramatic. Great food and service! The diner is clean, bright and has a great selection. We enjoyed everything we ordered.I’ll be back now that I’ve experienced all the improvements.
