Fitz’s Root Beer – St. Louis

We took all four kids to Fitz’s before heading out for some Christmas shopping, and it was the perfect stop. We had a gift card, which made the meal feel just a little extra special, and everything from start to finish was great.
The service was fantastic our server was friendly, attentive, and handled a busy table with kids effortlessly. The food was excellent, and we loved that everyone ordered something different and shared so we could try a little bit of everything. From burgers and sandwiches to fries and the iconic root beer, it was all delicious and hit the spot.
Fitz’s is such a fun, family friendly place with consistently good food and service. This visit reminded us why it’s a go-to spot for a casual meal, especially when you’re out making memories with your kids. We’ll definitely be back!

First time trying eating here, food was not bad however if you get their drinks besides water, refills are not free so, that could add on to the bill. Service was okay but once it was served it was almost ghosted until we asked them to bring more water or the bill. Interesting place and was surprised that it was not very busy there at all. Maybe others only come to get the Fitz’s soda..

Our server Grace was fantastic. She was very attentive without hovering. She happily got us anything we asked for. Her and the staff seemed happy to be there working with each other, which gave the place a great atmosphere. And the food was excellent. This is the second time I’ve had Grace as a server and she has been terrific each time. We will definitely be back.

Fitz’s is a great place to come for lunch or dinner. It’s cool that the bottling facility is in the building to be able to watch fresh local soda being made.
The food is very reasonably priced with good portion sizes. Most importantly it’s delicious. You know what you’re in for if you’re getting a bottomless frosted mug of their delicious soda.
The burgers are great, sandwiches are great, and floats are a sight to behold. When visiting St. Louis this is always a stop for our family. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

We love eating at Fitz’s when we’re in STL, but we usually go to the Delmar location. We were on the south side so decided to check out this location. Same food and vibes in a newer space. We love that they kept the view of the bottling equipment here. Our service was speedy and the food was great!

One of our American traditional favorites. Love their burgers, chili, and gumbo. They make their own sodas and that’s pretty much the only soda we drink anymore. Our favorite sodas are Fitz rootbeer, Fitz hip hop pop, Fitz rocket pop, Fitz pumpkin pop, and my absolute favorite Fitz coffee cola. If you crave sweets, make sure to try a fabulous shake for a legendary experience. Huge restaurant and bar with soda bar. Kid friendly. Also to note, we generally order at least 1 case of soda from the waiter or waitress. Cheaper than the stores and they make all the specialty and seasonal sodas all year, even though the grocery stores dont always carry them.

I recently dined at Fitz’s, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
The service was terrible, mainly because our server(Paul) had absolutely no energy and came across as rude. From the start, he seemed uninterested and inattentive. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. He was handling a 20-top at the same time as our table, and it was obvious that all of his attention went to them. We were left waiting far too long for basic things, and there was very little communication or effort to check in on us.
We even ordered an appetizer when we first ordered our drinks, specifically asking for it to come out before our meals. Instead, it didn’t arrive until after everyone at the table was completely done eating. At that point, we didn’t even want it anymore. When we declined the fries, the server seemed annoyed and acted like he was upset with us, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
I understand that large parties can be demanding, but management should not assign a server to both a 20-top and additional tables if they’re not strong enough to handle it professionally. The lack of attention, poor timing, and negative attitude really hurt our experience.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both staffing decisions and overall service standards moving forward.

We loved Fitz’s on Delmar, so this was pretty much a no-brainer. Same flavors, same great food, and fast and friendly staff.
The Food: our tastes change all the time. My only constant is the cup of gumbo. The desserts are a constant as well. The grandkids love splitting a Rootbeer Float, they like every variety so far, (we’ve been to Fitz’s several times.). And splitting the brownie and ice cream is something to be enjoyed.
The Service: we were sat in under 3 minutes for a party of five. Our service was handled perfectly. Our waitress handled all of our drinks and appetizer order. The kitchen delivered the appetizer, and our food. The game room kept us busy till it was time to eat.
The Atmosphere: it’s bigger Downstairs at Delmar, and they have their bottling area on display. It’s tastefully decorated. They have TVs at the Bar so you can catch whatever sporting events are running.

If we weren’t extremely hungry we would have gotten up and left. Our food took forever to come out, and when it did it was ice cold, the lettuce was covered in brown slime, and the pineapple was white and smelled rotten. We didn’t get silverware and had to ask for it multiple times. Our waitress was smiley but forgot our appetizer, and our drinks were empty 90% of our visit. We typically go to the Delmar location and absolutely love it. This location is a nightmare. We also saw shakes prepared that sat 10-15 minutes before being taken out to the tables. They were busy, but several employees were just hanging out chit chatting… so there was really no excuse for ice cold food, and terrible service. 0/10 experience.
