I came here Saturday night to try this place out.

The grocery store was pretty empty and I wasn’t sure if I was in the right place. I found the restaurant in the back and service was ok.

I ordered the Torta Cubana. It was nothing like a cuban sandwich. It was egg, hotdog, and avacado with beans. The sandwich tasted good and was bigger than I expected but not what I wanted. It was my fault for not reading the menu.

I have been there before shopping, but this was the first time I’ve ever been upstairs in the back to have my hair cut. Gloria has been there for 9 years and I have finally found another stylist that knows exactly how to cut my hair. The Studio is spotless and done very tasteful in a simple black and white color scheme.
I do know that I will be back, especially with her great prices

First off let me just say that I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food so it’s hard to impress me as I am partial Mexican myself.

I will say that this place is authentic and it’s decent but I’ve had better.

The people were very nice and helpful the food was hot and fresh.

The tacos just lacked the flavor of the meat I was looking for.

The rice and beans was well seasoned though and the horchata was good. Again I’ve had better.

Would I come back, yea if I was really hungry but not omg I need to eat it again come back

The best menudo I have ever eaten. Very authentic and served with warm, fresh tortillas. Less 1 star only due to atmosphere which is a walk up counter in the rear of a small grocery store. I skipped eating in at on of the community folding tables and got take out. I will return to try some of the other dishes.

I will not be returning! Nasty bathroom that everyone uses and NO paper towels so you touch wet door knobs. Makes me wonder how much bacteria is in the hands that make our food. I just threw my meal away. The whole place is FILTHY!!! Also the tacos are bland. No flavor at all.

I went there during lunch, I ended up ordering three tacos, one of lengua, al pastor and carnitas, I am usually skeptical about Grocery Store Restaurant but I must say, the Tacos were very good. They had both green and hot salsa, beware of the hot salsa, cause is very hot. My overall experience was Good!

If you don’t mind and/or seek to step into another world for authentic Mexican fare please indulge. You’ll enjoy a low key relaxing savory treat.
