Aunt Emma’s Pancakes is a comfortable, dependable breakfast destination in Chula Vista. It shines when you’re in the mood for pancakes, a hearty breakfast, and a straightforward diner experience. If you can avoid the rush (or don’t mind waiting a bit), it’s a solid choice.
Would recommend it for a relaxed morning out, especially with friends or family.

Short stack of buttermilk pancakes: A staple here, ideal if you want the classic experience.
Crepes (strawberry, apple, cajeta): For something a bit different, they mention crepes topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
Omelette + pancakes combo: Great if you want savory + sweet; omelettes get good mentions.
Coffee: Many reviewers highlight that their coffee is reliably hot and well-refilled.

Stopped by for breakfast super delicious. Bit of a wait, about 20 minutes.

Parking is a challenge .

I hate that people bring dogs to a restaurant. Someone brought their dog and was told about their policy and the level of entitlement is mind-boggling. They had the nerve to put the dog on the furniture to sit. Since when is this acceptable?

The place is a dinner as any other American restaurant, you can get good breakfast here!, the waitress are very nice and they speak English and Spanish.

The food is good, not exceptional but its a good option if any other places is busy, pancakes are good and the breakfast burrito was my favorite.

When we walked in a couple people in our party smelt a very off putting smell. (That is the reason for the lower review)
The food was what you expect. Tasty. Cost was fair.
Nothing that blows your skirt up but definitely an affordable option that serves trustworthy food.

Foods was good. The Monte Cristo was more like a eggs, ham and cheese sandwich not what I expected but was ok. Parking is extremely small and difficulty. The restaurant offered additional parking but this knowledge is available only if you’re a local residents

We love this place! A very traditional breakfast spot, with great dishes and really good portions. Our waitress was great and the service was fantastic! A little bit noisy atmosphere, but still love it! I ask for the gluten free pancakes and they were delicious.

This was my first time here and although I’m sure the food is good, I could only give 3 stars.
When we arrived there was 1 couple ahead of us. My friend gave the “hostess” or name. She’s asked if we preferred a table or both. We said it did not matter. There were lots of open tables. She rang up the customers who were checking out, seated the couple ahead of us, came back, rang up the next people, then left us just standing there to wait knowing there were plenty of open tables.
After about 5 minutes of just standing there waiting, I was about to seat myself at one of the open tables or the bar when another waitress came and sat us.
And wouldn’t you know it, right after that, that so called “hostess” went back to the front.
This disturbed the rest of my experience unfortunately.
I ordered the Monte Cristo. What I got was a French toast ham sandwich. I had to ask for the preserves that is supposed to come with it, and was informed they were out and would I like some jelly.
I’m thinking this information should have been told to me prior to bringing me my food. I got jelly packets instead. No bueno.
My friend really hyped this place up and I was completely deflated by the whole experience.
I have posted a picture of the rudeness “hostess” with my review because I didn’t get her name.

I was told it was a gem old school. I had biscuits and gravy and it tasted like the ones you buy at Walmart. My kids had burgers fries which were good. We also asked for regular mustard for our fries and was told by our waiter (which was awesome) that the owners no longer provide mustard.
