I just want to give a HUGE shoutout to Rachel at Applebee’s! She is hands down the BEST around. Not only does she take amazing care of her own tables, but she even checks on you to make sure you’re okay, have everything you need, and are happy with your food — even if she’s not your waitress. That kind of customer service is rare these days.

Rachel is friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely cares about the customers’ experience. She makes you feel welcomed and appreciated the moment you walk in. We definitely need a lot more people like her in this world!

If you go to Applebee’s, ask for Rachel — you won’t be disappointed. She’s truly the best! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Why are zero stars not an option? Just know if i could, i would. I arrived here on a Tuesday evening to a restaurant that was a third full. My children and I were seated immediately. However that was the last interaction we had with staff. Mind your we were seated between 2 other booths that were occupied. We sat for 20 mins without so much as a wave. I didn’t receive service AT ALL. Even the staff that LITERALLY walked by didn’t acknowledge or try to assist. Even when I decided to leave I made a comment so the server cleaning the table next to us would hear that we were leaving, she looked at me and back down to clean the table. No offer to try to retain our service at all. Utterly unacceptable!

Look at this garbage…my husband ordered me a to go Quesadilla Chicken salad and it was missing everything…no corn salsa, no pico, no tortilla strips..tell me how this is even allowed to leave your restaurant?? Your staff clearly needs training and new management!! This is unacceptable!

Formal Leadership Complaint – Immediate Corporate & HR Review Required
This is not a casual complaint. This is a direct call for corporate intervention.
On February 25, 2026, at approximately 2:24 PM, the operational leadership at this location demonstrated a complete failure in management, authority, and business execution.
During active business hours, the entire front-of-house staff was gathered outside the building. Not one, not two — the entire team. One employee was on the phone. Another briefly opened the door for us as we entered, then immediately returned outside to join the others. No greeting. No seating. No host presence. No managerial presence. No accountability.
Let’s be clear: this is not a front-line employee issue. This is a leadership collapse.
Effective management requires:
Maintaining staff at assigned post positions
Ensuring customers are prioritized at all times
Delegating responsibility appropriately
Enforcing role boundaries during operating hours
Exercising authority when standards slip
None of that was happening.
If there was a situation occurring outside, only the manager on duty should have handled it. Allowing hourly employees to abandon their stations reflects a lack of control, a lack of structure, and a lack of leadership competence. Staff do not self-dismiss their responsibilities — they are either permitted to or unchecked by management.
Customers should never:
Walk into an unattended establishment
Wait on employees to decide when they will resume their duties
Feel secondary to outside distractions
Question who is in charge during business hours
This was not just unprofessional — it was operationally negligent.
Leadership sets the tone. When leadership is lax, undisciplined, and disengaged, employees follow that example. What we witnessed was a culture of indifference: too relaxed, too comfortable, and completely disconnected from the expectation of service excellence.
An establishment cannot generate revenue when management allows the dining room to be effectively abandoned. This directly impacts:
Brand reputation
Customer retention
Corporate standards
Liability exposure
Revenue performance
We left the establishment because it was clear there was no structured authority present.
Corporate and HR need to conduct:
An immediate review of the manager on duty
A retraining assessment of front-of-house leadership practices
A compliance evaluation of operational standards during business hours
A corrective action plan specific to this location
This is not about discipline for the sake of punishment. This is about restoring operational integrity.
If leadership cannot maintain order inside their own establishment during mid-afternoon business hours, then the issue is systemic at the management level.
This location does not need surface-level apologies.
It needs structural correction.
Corporate intervention is necessary.

Completely unprofessional and I have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant in my life! Me and my wife went in to order our food to go. The person at the door directed us to the counter and we stood there for over 10 minutes before we left after being seen and passed by almost every employee in the restaurant! We will be going back to Conyers for Applebees from now on because these people at this location have no service experience obviously

My first time ever in this Applebee’s location. I was told the one located in Conyers was terrible, so I’m disappointed. I did takeout and the food and service was ABSOLUTELY terrible. I ordered the chicken wonton tacos and they burnt the taco shells. The chicken didn’t have the Asian special sauce. I ordered extra sour cream and never received it. The manager said she would refund me my entire money back, which was $39.85 and still haven’t received a refund. I am so tired of these restaurants demanding tips and we receive poor service. These managers don’t know how to resolve issues. And they wonder why companies go out of business or file bankruptcy, just like Red Lobster case in point.

Our server was Akilah W and she was FANTASTIC!! We were greeted with polite and speedy efficiency, she anticipated our needs before we even asked, answered all our questions on a complicated order (all while serving other tables) and was pleasant and cheerful the whole time.

Seemed pretty bare for a Sunday evening most places around were packed. Was traveling so maybe this place has run down overtime. Our server was great, but others were obviously not very attentive to their tables we overheard. Smelled as well like old and musty.
