Firstly, Armin (tall, dark haired guy), the server is excellent and deserving of 5 stars alone and the only good part of the experience. Food wasn’t special in any way but nothing to complain about either, especially since free food. I came in for the free slam birthday reward in the app/website (app and website suck. They suck hard. That was the beginning of the bad but unrelated part of the experience). I said, “No drink” but was informed that the reward included a coffee so I accepted it. Armin even made a fresh pot, bless this guy! Bill was ~$11.29. A gent, Peter (seemingly higher-ranking), rung me up and scanned the unexpired reward code. It didn’t work. I brought the reward up in the website instead. He hit ‘details’. The system unfathomably considers the qr code to be “details”. It’s taking a long while. There’s another guy in line, body language also starting to leak polite impatience. I have him taken care of first. Peter leaves. I look around for a place to sit down but he comes back on a phone call and is advised to do account look up and etc. We do it and still nothing. Eventually, he says that the total is $3.84. For what?! The coffee. I’m in disbelief and I show it. It feels as if I’ve been at the register for an eternity, like maybe 20 minutes, but I have no way to verify myself. I mention I was told it was included, looking over at Armin, who is nearby and overhearing and witness to all this. Peter states the coffee isn’t included. I paid it and tipped, but I’m not planning to return.
