I really needed a break of life and diner at littleNONNA delivered. A decent whiskey sour, a delicious pasta and – most of all – the most considerate service. By the time I finished eating, I was full of joy again.

Little Nonna has become a must-visit on my Cologne trips. We started with the Calamari Fritti, Arancino Siciliano, and Green ‘n’ Red on Bread – all fresh and flavorful. From the summer specials, the Ravioli Blue Woods was my absolute favorite, truly delicious and memorable. The cocktails are excellent – I had a perfectly mixed Negroni – and the Tiramisu was a nice way to end the meal. What I especially love here is the cozy atmosphere, the great ambiance, and the lively crowd of guests, which make the experience even more enjoyable. Attentive service and consistently high quality make this place a real gem.

Visited Little Nonna for a work event, and it was a lively experience. The restaurant itself is spacious, with a bustling yet welcoming atmosphere, even mid-week. The staff were friendly and spoke excellent English, making the experience smooth and enjoyable.

We shared a selection of antipasti to start, which was flavorful, with a nice mix of cold cuts, burrata, and vegetables. The local beer was refreshing, almost like drinking water! For mains, I went with the ravioli, which was rich and creamy – maybe a touch too oily, but definitely packed with flavor. Others who had the pasta enjoyed the unique presentation in a copper pot, and the pizzas were massive – definitely filling!

Overall, I’d recommend Little Nonna for the ambiance, which is vibrant and enjoyable, perfect for a casual night out with friends. The food is good, though not exceptional, so I’d give it a solid 3/5.

Accidentally I found this place, just because my hotel was in not far from here.
I was there in the evening in rush hour and had to wait for an order ~40 min maybe more.

However all was good with food and pizza was so delicious that I even forgot to make a photo of it.
One nuance I’ve encountered here: their ginger tea was just hot water with ginger, no tea.
Don’t remember whether they have WiFi but no parking. Clean and equipped toilet.

This was the best Italian I’ve ever had. Not just in Cologne/Germany, but the best Italian I’ve had in my entire life (and I’ve been to Italy 4-5 times already). Went for the “Bolo Romance” as I wanted to stay classic/safe with pasta bolognese choice but it ended being much more than just that… Flavorful, savory delish!
Shout-out to the kind Spanish waiter working there with whom I had a nice quick chit-chat 🙂

Somehow I think that on the day when I was there everything went wrong. During midday, they didn’t have lasagna from the menu. I ordered Pizza and asked for to be well done. After we waited 30min we noticed that people coming after us already get their orders, we ask where is our order. We waited additional 15min and then in the end I got half done pizza without any taste, with half done dough. I ask if I can get additional tomato sauce, and the answer was that I can get guacamole dip or put the oil.The staff was polite but seems like without real experience and not able to make customers satisfied with small tricks. Overall 3/5.

This used to be our favorite breakfast/brunch place because of its “Stramme Nonna” breakfast special. Today we were met with a huge disappointment. They have cut the portion size in half and removed some key ingredients like Focaccia bread, semi dry tomatoes Aioli and Sauce Hollandaise. It’s so sad to see a beautiful dish has been ruined. When we asked the waiter about it, he said the price is now lower. However this is not true. It cost 12.90€ 6 months ago, and we paid the same amount today.

Moreover the quality and quantity of the ingredients is vastly inferior compared to before.

I have attached pictures for easy comparison. What a disgusting move by this business and thinking that people will not notice such cost saving actions.
We left extremely disappointed and will not be coming back.
