Don’t get the hype. The broth is so watered down and there’s no actual beef flavor in it. It’s as if they just added scallion oil to the broth to make it LOOK rich but in reality it tastes almost like nothing! Waiting in line for this was insane.

The fresh noodles, vinegar onions, and blanched bean sprouts they offer are nice, but I’d much rather have a flavorful broth than some good additions. The pho also comes out piping hot which should be a good sign except for the fact that the broth was lacking in flavor. There was a good amount of meat in every bowl though if you’re into that.

Will not be returning.

Their menu is very flexible, you can mix and match almost any combination for the same price (except for a few special items). They serve the best pho we’ve had in both the OC and San Diego areas.

The restaurant was very crowded when we arrived, but the wait time was surprisingly short. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the portions were generous.

I ate here back in 2021, early in a cold winter morning and remembered it was delicious and rich in favor of the broth. Parking in the morning upon their opening was easy, not much to fight for. The place had been around for decades so it old but will keep at it best so don’t expected too high, but it’s clean both indoor and out on the covered deck. This place is packed most of the time and every weekend and the line can be waited for over hr. The service is nice, friendly and courteous. The pho is nice, nothing special from my perspective – it’s clean but missing something. The meats portion is good but the price is $15.50 for the bowl. At least hot ice (or iced) are free.

Consistent!

My family always enjoys eating at the franchise, but this location is tricky. The menu is the same as their other places, and they were also able to maintain the good quality. Literally everything on the menu is tasty, and their portions are huge.

* Phở Chín Bò Viên: 9/10 – some parts of the brisket were a bit tough

We rarely go to this location because of how small their parking lot is, and we really only go here to pick up any to-go orders. If you do end up going here and can’t find any parking spots, my family would park near the elementary school on the other side of the restaurant or at the Bolsa Mini Mall plaza and walk over. ‍♀️

The workers were also quite friendly, and we didn’t have to wait too long after adding our names to the waitlist. The interior is also quite small, so if you’re claustrophobic and can’t handle small spaces, you might not feel comfortable eating here.

Not bad, but their other locations are roomier.

Reason for visiting: breakfast before driving back home; after night of drinking
Date/time of visit: Sunday morning, 8:30 AM
Parking: there’s lot parking but limited; there’s parking the next street down too, next to the school in the neighborhood
Party size: 7
Environment/ambience: one of the few Pho places open before 10:00 AM; pretty small and busy. Restroom is in the back, clean. No TVs around.
Service: was quick; pay at the front. Food came out pretty quick.
Food: had the #3, Pho Tai with Bo Vien. Pretty good; the meatballs didn’t have much fat on them. Bowl is pretty good size. Had the pho with bigger noodles; you have option of bigger or smaller noodles so close bigger.
Cost: ~$140, with tip; they take credit card (not cash only)
Would I go back (yes/no): 80/20; mainly b/c they open at 8

When in California you have to stop by here for one of the best pho in town. Flavorful broth, fresh noodles and generous portions of meat . Always crowded and long wait .

Traditional pho done right. The broth is very rich and tasty, and you can smell the pho aroma as soon as you walk through the door.

Pho taste – 8/10
If you’re looking for clear broth this isn’t the place. It’s heavy and more fat than say 79. That’s part of reason why the broth is flavorful.

Prices- reasonable and fair $15-16
Plenty of meats n noodles

Cons – parking lot very small.

It’s been more than 2 years since I ate here. It’s consistent. Food: 4. It was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered bap in my pho that I did not get. It’s not a problem. We forget sometimes. I had to ask for more green onions and herbs. While the soup over was traditional taste, I tasted a little more msg than I like. With only scissors to work with, the side bone would be better for togo thing. For safety reason, I am sure, knife wasn’t given. I came before 12 so parking was easy. If you’re on lunch schedule, probably not a good idea.

It’s hard to stand out in the pho world with so many of the ingredients and recipes standardized. Phoholic does so through portion size, service, price and quality. The noodles are soft and delicate while the broth is rich and flavorful. Even the often overlooked bean sprouts and jalapenos were fresh and delicious.
