The fresh noodles, vinegar onions, and blanched bean sprouts they offer are nice, but I’d much rather have a flavorful broth than some good additions. The pho also comes out piping hot which should be a good sign except for the fact that the broth was lacking in flavor. There was a good amount of meat in every bowl though if you’re into that.
Will not be returning.
The restaurant was very crowded when we arrived, but the wait time was surprisingly short. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the portions were generous.
My family always enjoys eating at the franchise, but this location is tricky. The menu is the same as their other places, and they were also able to maintain the good quality. Literally everything on the menu is tasty, and their portions are huge.
* Phở Chín Bò Viên: 9/10 – some parts of the brisket were a bit tough
We rarely go to this location because of how small their parking lot is, and we really only go here to pick up any to-go orders. If you do end up going here and can’t find any parking spots, my family would park near the elementary school on the other side of the restaurant or at the Bolsa Mini Mall plaza and walk over. ♀️
The workers were also quite friendly, and we didn’t have to wait too long after adding our names to the waitlist. The interior is also quite small, so if you’re claustrophobic and can’t handle small spaces, you might not feel comfortable eating here.
Not bad, but their other locations are roomier.
Date/time of visit: Sunday morning, 8:30 AM
Parking: there’s lot parking but limited; there’s parking the next street down too, next to the school in the neighborhood
Party size: 7
Environment/ambience: one of the few Pho places open before 10:00 AM; pretty small and busy. Restroom is in the back, clean. No TVs around.
Service: was quick; pay at the front. Food came out pretty quick.
Food: had the #3, Pho Tai with Bo Vien. Pretty good; the meatballs didn’t have much fat on them. Bowl is pretty good size. Had the pho with bigger noodles; you have option of bigger or smaller noodles so close bigger.
Cost: ~$140, with tip; they take credit card (not cash only)
Would I go back (yes/no): 80/20; mainly b/c they open at 8
If you’re looking for clear broth this isn’t the place. It’s heavy and more fat than say 79. That’s part of reason why the broth is flavorful.
Prices- reasonable and fair $15-16
Plenty of meats n noodles
Cons – parking lot very small.
