Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

It’s a little after 11AM, and the damn near brown fries were as cold as ice tasting like it was made yesterday! The burger was subpar with an old bun and soft plastic textured bacon. I thought I was about to loose a tooth! The Dr. Pepper I had tasted like club soda, I only ate areas of the burger meat, and thought about that $12 I just wasted.

DO WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY COMING TO THIS LOCATION. THE STORE OWNER SHOULD BE VERY DISAPPOINTED AT HOW THIS LOCATION IS BEING RAN. The issue with this location is, it’s a bunch of kids that work here, with NO OVERSIGHT! The managers are sitting in the office and not making sure their team is doing their job correctly or efficiently. The reason I know this is because when I went to get a refund for my food both managers were in the office and the girl working the front was struggling with no help. When I pulled up to the drive-thru, the two workers that were suppose to be taking orders outside were across the street talking to their friends that pulled up in a black SUV. I had to sit and wait as the young girl, with an attitude, walk back towards the drive-thru with no urgency what so ever. Food is coming out sloppy, fries stale no salt and cold. The only two people actually working was the sweet boy working the window and the girl working front counter. Mind you, this is at 7:30PM not late at all. I have come to this location many times because I live close and it’s always the same thing. I have worked for Whataburger before when I was younger so I know better and have seen better. This location needs to do BETTER! Send secret shoppers to this location and then replace the team!

My family regulary orders from this location. Went late at night through the drive thru and got a strawberry shake for the first time that was absolutely on point. Most fast food shakes are too thick for my liking, theres had not only a great flavor, but a great consistency. New menu favorite.

Aiden, great customer service, attitude and on point with getting customers to give a review. I only like to highlight that he wrote on my ticket exactly what I wanted; grilled onions, no pickles and it was cooked the opposite. In other words the people preparing the meal did not pay attention to his note. He made the experience worth of coming back. Please improve the kitchen.

Vera was kind until she followed my husband to my table where I was eating my salad in order to strongarm him into giving a a review on BOTH RECIEPTS because we had two orders. The man who brought us the food was amazing though! They were nice enough but I told her please let me eat. She said I should leave a review too and ignored my request calling me princess. It was a very awkward encounter. Please listen when people say they are trying to eat and don’t force them into making a review for you. My husband was too nice and did it anyway. Don’t strongarm people into making a good review. The second burger was all jacked up ordered avocado on it and it wasn’t even on the sandwich it was smeared on the wrapper lol. She made a good review go sour because she could not respect my boundaries. Please understand I’m not your princess I don’t know you and don’t ever force anyone into an awkward situation to leave you a review as it will just make us not want to come back. If we wanted to leave a review we would have. NO MEANS NO DONT BE A BULLY also I ordered a salad and the chicken wasn’t fully cutt so I tried to pull it apart with my fingers and lost some chicken on the floor… that’s not what irritated me it was her, She was talking randomly to herself at my table about how sometimes the salad is good and not good I don’t know what she was doing. I just needed to eat something and wanted to enjoy it not be pestered. The food wasn’t horrible I have had worse but definitely not made with love and lazily put together. I wasn’t upset until she started harassing us because we must have seemed nice. I don’t know but I won’t be going back inside to eat here again.

At one time many years ago this location was top notch with good quality and service. But in recent years I can’t say the same, but that’s how all the Whataburger locations are these days. The food is definitely a miss in the quality department the majority of the time.
Service is usually not very friendly like they used to be. I do not go to Whataburger in general anymore.
