After a Sunday Fun Day of dancing at a near by tavern (it was too crowded there to order food), the hubby and I stopped at Dan’s Place for a late dinner. Dan’s pizza never disappoints! The toppings are always fresh. The square pizza crust is crunchy on the bottom and the sauce is flavorful. I was craving fish and chips, which I have never had here before. The fish was cooked perfectly. The coleslaw was made just the way I like it and the serving size was generous. It’s so annoying at other places when the coleslaw is in the same size side container as the tarter sauce!

The restaurant itself provides a layer of comfort with its cozy, backwoods, Rhode Island setting, suggesting a warm, intimate atmosphere, with the comforting aroma of flavorful meals filling the air, making this experience feel like a special treat after a long day. The menu offers an abundantly wide selection of meal choices. We ordered a 14 ounce Ribeye, Poutine, Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo, and Big Dan’s Cheeseburger while enjoying delightful cocktails from the bar. Homestyle Potato Chips are not exactly on the menu as appetizers, but if you are lucky enough to get them, you are in for a culinary treat. The Chicken Alfredo and Broccoli is surely a pure comfort food masterpiece, simple yet elegant, and satisfying, decadent and rich, tender slices of juicy grilled chicken and luscious linguine pasta tossed in a creamy, delicious, velvety Parmesan garlic cream sauce, with garlic bread on the side. This spectacular homestyle Poutine is an artful design of perfectly crisp, fluffy fries, generously drenched in a rich, savory, peppered chicken gravy, and topped with a scattering of fresh cheddar cheese curds that soften just enough to be extravagant, creating a magical taste explosion. The 14 ounce Ribeye is perfectly seared, with a nicely deep brown crust and rosy, juicy interior, sitting beside a soft, steaming baked potato that yields to the fork, its fluffy center ready for a pat of butter. Don’t forget to add sautéed mushrooms and onions to your steak, you will absolutely not be disappointed. This amazing Ribeye pairs well with the side dinner salad. The salad is a well put together colorful salad with crisp chunks of lettuce, vibrant cherry tomatoes, delicate slivers of carrots, cool sliced cucumbers and crunchy rings of sliced bell peppers, the perfect amount of shredded cheese and fresh onions. The half pound cheeseburger is served with a thick, perfectly grilled patty that is both juicy and bursting with savory beef flavor. It’s smothered in a blanket of melted cheese that cascades over the edges, creating tempting, golden drippings that promise rich, tangy, and delicious goodness with each bite. Fresh, crisp toppings like lettuce and tomato, thousand island dressing provide a vibrant contrast, while the soft bun holds it all together, making it a truly mouthwatering, fantastic meal. The restrooms are bright, very clean and smell fresh. The only negative drawback for me, was when Bree the bartender, makes another cocktail, she does not pour out the remaining melted ice in the bottom of the glass, and proceeds to make the new cocktail on top of the last cocktail. Definitely a bartending etiquette 101 No-No, which borders lackadaisical. With that being said, We are looking forward to returning here again to explore more of the available menu options.
UPDATE: We came back on Sunday for Game Day. We enjoyed some amazing cocktails by Bartender Kristen. We also ordered a variety of the .75 cent chicken wings specials. The wings are phenomenally tender, juicy, crispy skin, and slathered in a generous amount of flavorful sauces. The Garlic Parmesian wings are spot on spectacular, the Mango Habenero wings are a nice sweet comforting heat, the 5 Alarm wings offer an immediate punch of heat that then mellows into a creeping, slow burn that builds with every bite. We each ordered cheeseburgers to go for a late night meal at home tonight.
Compliments to the waitstaff for exceptional service, and compliments to the kitchen for exemplary food preparation. Also, thank you to the owner’s for making all of this enjoyment happen under one roof.
UPDATE: We once again, ordered Ribeye steak, baked potato, onions, mushrooms, side salad. Steak, onions, mushrooms and potato were spectacularly fabulous. Salad, not so much, very disappointing salad..

We are from the South and definitely missed the greeting from the staff that we are used to. My husband drives a truck and we were staying at the TA across the street. Not one person spoke to us, we sat at the bar and waited for quite some time to at least put a drink order in. My husband was almost ready to walk out. He had a few of the $2 drafts and I ordered a margarita it tasted watered down so I’m not sure if it was made earlier and the bartender just left it sitting. We did try the RI Stuffy which was pretty good and the I ordered the Rueben with fries and my husband got the Meatball/Sausage Grinder with fries. The sandwiches were very good. Pretty sure we won’t be back if we are ever in the area again.

Definitely a great spot, I’m a trucker and there’s a TA up the street with plenty of parking. The food is excellent, and a great place to hang out and watch the games. I highly recommend the potato skins

Dan’s Place has the Best Service – the Best Food –
Highly recommend this place!!
He gives a great deal back to the community!!
Tonight, for example , instead of being closed like normal he opened up for his giving thanks event. Raising money for the food bank for the holiday season. I also appreciate how clearly they post their hours of operation on every platform. Almost impossible to go there without knowing if they are open or not.

I’m visiting from out of town & might just try to go back before I leave because there’s SO much more on the menu we’d love to try!! Our server Jonna was absolutely FANTASTIC with great suggestions! Their prices are extremely reasonable, we were surprised. Love this place, if we don’t make it back this visit, it will definitely be on my list for our next visit!! Veteran owned & we love our veterans ❤️

The food is amazing. I have tried a few different items now passing by, and I have to say it is definitely worth stopping by. It was my first time trying poutine, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is great, especially during football season, and you can’t go wrong with an order of wings.
