Cute restaurant with classy rustic atmosphere. Love the meals but wish they have more varieties. Service was good. Find parking was easier at night. Sound system felt a bit loud in my opinion but I’m sure people have different views. They did great job on renovating the place. We had opportunity to tak a peek on the upper level which is fabulous. Overall its a great place for dinner when you’re in town.

Long-time Leesburg resident who used to go to the antique store in this corner location. Had been watching the development of the restaurant for a while and booked for my wife’s birthday.
Booked an early dinner time with a reservation and it was fairly empty and great to have conversation with my wife. Maggie was an awesome server. I asked about vegetarian and pointed out the pasta dish that I had already seen from the prior month’s menu – apparently menu rotates at some point. However, she suggested the kitchen could make something special which they did a risotto farro with oyster mushrooms which was amazing. I love oyster mushrooms and the cream sauce/which was suggested was perfect. Not on the menu so ask for it.
My wife had the trout which she enjoyed and she said reminded her of the butterfly trout that I’ve made in the past which she loved and I ate before I turned plant-based. She loves carrot cake and has extremely high standards. Maggie suggested it and remembered that I mentioned my wife’s birthday so put a nice candle on it. It exceeded her expectations, reminded us of a famous dessert cafe we used to frequent in CA.
We sat in the library which Maggie said is one of the favorite rooms. Totally recommend for a date, cozier than the main dining room. Also go early b/c by the time we left it was packed and a bit noisier. Parked in the local town lot which is free during the evenings but gets full fast, another reason to go early on a Friday night.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience from start to finish! I love seeing young people working so hard and so well trained in hospitality, but enough being a “mom fan”!
Oysters were lovely, first time trying them bbq’d and they were delicious. The raw oysters were tasty- just as described.
Both entrees were perfectly prepared, great portion size, sauces were seasoned just right!
Service was so polite and professional, they went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our birthday dinner.
Can’t forget the wine selection, love that there are really well made international wines available by the glass.

My wife and I went for brunch on Valentines Day. We sat at the bar, which is a huge, L-shaped bar with a marble counter top. Plenty of bar seating available. The bar tender was friendly and attentive. Nice, big leather booth seating is available parallel the bar area for group-seating. Great atmosphere from the start. Every staff member was welcoming, and there was good energy all around. We had the pork belly, deviled eggs, and steamed clams as appetizers. All three had great flavor … the pork belly melted in our mouth. I had the Shutters Eggs Benedict and my wife had the Shrimp n Grits. I loved my dish, and I got to try the Shrimp n Grits too. I’d order either next time for brunch … absolutely delicious! Then we shared the chocolate cake, which was HUGE. and delicious. Good to share as a group … lol! We took most of it home. This was our first time visiting/dining here. LOVE THIS PLACE! We will be back!

I went with some girlfriends and it was the perfect place for us to eat great food and catch up! The space is beautiful! I loved the atmosphere! The waitress was professional, helpful and entertaining! The dishes were cleared quickly and we all felt as though we’re were very well taken care of. The hostess and the busser even approached us to take our picture because they wanted us to capture the fun time that we’re were having! I highly recommend this restaurant. I understand why it took 3 weeks to get in. What a great experience!!!

Epic. 12/10. All restaurants should aspire to this level of perfection. Made a reservation for a birthday and left very specific notes which the staff took to heart, waiter Brian was super attentive and helped us order the most delicious food, atmosphere and aesthetic are ON POINT. A bit loud but what else could you expect on a Friday evening with a packed house. Thank you Shutters for an awesome experience – we’ll be back for any celebration worth having!

We came here after seeing the old menu uploaded that have many pasta with half portion option. However when coming here ghe menu totally changed completely. However we still decided to give it a try.
We liked the scallops it was right cooked and have a great taste. The pumpkin soup & the beet salad are great too. However when we tried the oysters, there are one with sand in it, I immediately threw it out and ask our server and he was kindly replace for us a new one.
Overall our experience dinning here are good.
Not accessible and baby stroller friendly.

Went to Shutters on King for our anniversary and what gem to have in downtown Leesburg! We ordered cocktails and the gazpacho (not pictured but highly recommend). My wife had the halibut and I had the sirloin with mashed potatoes with pumpkin cake for desert. The service was amazing and the restaurant had a very cozy, yet still very bright and trendy atmosphere. Will definitely go back and highly recommend!

We went to shutters last night for a birthday dinner and we’re seated at the round table next to the host stand, the restaurant was so beautiful and the food was great, but I’m giving three stars solely because of the front door. Every single person that walked in left the front door wide open and it was freezing outside, so we had to put our jackets on at dinner and none of the workers would go and close the front door. You guys need to install a new front door ASAP. Also, the current one slams so loud if someone does close it. The front door literally became the topic of conversation at our dinner because of how annoying it was the whole time we were eating. if you eat at this restaurant request to be seated in the back room, not near the front door.

Its a fantastic atmosphere but the actual food and service was fairly run of the mill.
We got there after the dinner rush with a reservation but it was still a 30 minute wait. Food was decent and very well plated. Appetizers were varied but not much that would be “family style”.
No whiskey menu. No family style sides. No advertised specials. Its like a great setting that’s still finding its place.
