Dusita Thai offers authentic Thai flavors in a setting that blends contemporary touches with traditional elements. While the interior is fairly simple and minimal, the focus here is clearly on the food.
Despite having a reservation made the day before, we did have to wait upon arrival. However, the experience quickly improved once we were seated. The menu is extensive and well-rounded, with a particularly appealing lunch special available Monday through Friday at very reasonable prices.
We ordered several dishes from the lunch specials, including red curry, green curry, Pad Kee Mao, spicy crispy catfish, Pad Thai, and pineapple curry. In addition, we tried the green papaya salad, Bangkok tempura, and roti panang.
Every dish we ordered was delicious and well-prepared, making it easy to choose based on personal preference. One standout for me was the spicy crispy catfish–perfectly cooked, crispy, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. Othere interesting dishes is Bangkok tempura. I have visited so many Thai restaurant and this is the first time I see tempura on the menu.
If you’re looking for authentic Thai food around Santa Clara at a reasonable price point, Dusita Thai is definitely worth a visit.

I tried the Tom Kha Veg Soup, Roti Panang, Pad See Ew, and Dusita’s House Fried Rice — every dish was absolutely delicious! The Tom Kha Soup was the real highlight — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I’d say this is one of the best Thai restaurants in the Bay Area. The food, flavors, and overall experience were amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Ideally 3.5/5.

Went to Dusita on a Friday night and had to wait 10-15 minutes for the table. The place was packed. They have an extensive menu (reminded me of Cheescake factory ). Their spice level was not as spicy- medium spice was more on the sweeter side.
We ordered shrimp soup, cashew chicken, a pork dish and a beef dish and thai iced tea. Thai iced tea was sweeter than expected. Medium spicy cashew chicken was more sweet and sour chicken. Beef had a good kick to it. The soup was probably the only spicy thing we had. Overall it was decent. Overall the food was a bit expensive so keeping that in mind, it didn’t meet the expectations.

The service was a little slow, probably
because of how busy they were.
They only have a small parking lot so you may have to find parking in the residential area.

Great authentic Thai food. You can also ask for mixed meet dish, i.e. Pad Thai, but in m cases they either overheard or forgot to add prawns so be more explicit. Portions are massive and also really tasteful.

Dusita Thai, you’ve officially stolen a piece of our hearts (and taste buds)!

We swung by on a Saturday night around 7:45 PM. Despite a 20-minute wait, the staff were absolute pros—quick, friendly, and got tables ready with ninja-like speed in their cozy little spot. Totally worth every minute!

Now, let’s talk about the deliciousness we devoured, specially tailored for our South Indian palates with “no spice” versions:
• Iced Thai Tea – A refreshing start and a cool, sweet hug in a glass. (4.5/5)
• Ginger Hot Tea – Warm, comforting, and served already brewed in a teapot. No fuss, just pure ginger goodness. (4.5/5)
• Chicken Satay – Juicy grilled skewers with a rich peanut sauce. A classic done right. (4/5)
• Tom Yum Soup (Chicken, No Spice) – Even without the spice, it was bursting with flavor! A warm, tangy bowl that was just right for two light eaters. (4.5/5)
• Chicken Basil Fried Rice (No Spice) – Fragrant, flavorful, and super satisfying. Every bite had the perfect hint of basil. (4.5/5)
• Pad Thai Noodles (Chicken, No Spice) – Comforting, balanced, and delicious—everything you want in a Pad Thai. (4.5/5)
• Panaang Curry (No Spice) – Initially served with mild spice (which felt like a fire alarm to us!), but the staff quickly remade it to our taste. Creamy, flavorful, and just right. (4.5/5)
• Mango Sticky Rice – The grand finale! Sweet, ripe mango paired with coconut-infused sticky rice—pure bliss. Don’t skip this! (5/5)

Edit :- Sept 20, 2025
• Pad See Ew – This is also very good.

Spice warning for fellow low-tolerance folks: “Mild” might still set your mouth on fire. Stick with “No Spice” if you’re like us!

All in all, a wonderful dinner with kind service and great food. Dusita Thai is officially on our favorites list—we’ll definitely be back!

The food her amazing no doubt about it. I have eaten here countless times and loved it each time….we generally order chicken satay or eggrolls, curries and fried rice.

However we hate the owner. They are very rude. They are aware that people keep coming here for the food and hence dont care how rude they are. The place is small. Parking is limited. Wait area is small as well and they are closed on Sundays

This is one of the best Thai food you’ll have in the South Bay! We have been regular here for years, the taste has remind same. For most people their mild and medium spicy level will be great, but if you are one of the people like me who enjoy spicy food, I would def recommend ordering one of the dishes at The highest level (hot/spicy depending on the server you have. Great options for vegetarian as well.

Recommendation: Massaman curry, papaya salad, house and pineapple fried rice, chicken/duck run, chicken and beans, appetizer sampler, crispy noodle dish I am forgetting the name of, Thai iced tea
Notes: If you don’t want to wait ~30 min to get in, I would recommend coming before 6:30pm. The parking lot is extremely small and crowded, but ample parking on nearby streets.

My go-to place for Thai food in Santa Clara.
Have been here several times on weekend nights, and there is always a queue, but the waiting time is acceptable, less than 30min.
There is not much parking outside, suggest street parking nearby.

Have tasted a lot of food here, all of them are delicious.
For traditional Thai food, I recommend Tom Yum soup(with seafood), yellow curry, and pineapple fried rice.
For Tom Yum Soup and curry, they will ask you the preferred spicy level. Mild is okay for us. If you can eat spicy food, you could try regular or extra.
Both of Tom Yum Soup and curry are good comfort food. Curry is also very thick and creamy, and it goes well with white rice.
The amount of Pineapple fried rice is so generous, and it is suitable for 4 people. There are a lot of seafood and nuts in it.

For appetizers, tofu is great. And you must try “chicken run” (the fried chicken), which is gold and crispy, the best fried chicken I’ve had in Bay Area.

Food was fast and delicious. Servers were quick to assist.

Service was unfriendly and I had to get up if I needed anything.

Better off dining at the Thai place next to Bronco’s.

All the stir fried

Please expect a bit wait, for both the table and the food. They are busy.

Also, staff is limited here, kinda hard to get attention.
