I’d be heartbroken to lose this gem of a market. I’ve eaten scores of sandwiches from groves over the last three decades. Good luck!

The sandwiches at this Market are absolutely delicious and huge, enough to satisfy any craving! I was lucky enough to get the meatball sandwich right as it had just come out of cooking, and it was amazing. The place is small and I love that it also is a mini market with snacks and goodies. A true hidden gem in Utah I highly recommend!

Was recommended Grove Market because of their “AMAZING” meatball subs. First time entering the place I wasn’t greeted and waited in a short line that probably took 25 minutes just to order and when I did I was told “ Let me check if we have enough for a full” ??? I’m sorry but to wait 25 minutes just to be told they dont have what I want and made zero effort to display that fact is ridiculous, but what actually happened was I saw her go to the back and ask her coworker if they had enough for a full meatball which she shook her head NO but she checked anyway and told me that they did have enough, so great I didn’t completely waste my time and I was about to try out this places AMAZING subs but what I received was a mess of a “sandwich”, the only things of quality on it were the meatballs by themselves and the bread by itself, but the lukewarm sauce was a mess, the cold cheese that was just thrown towards the sandwich was a mess, and the biggest gripe is that THERE WAS NOT NEARLY ENOUGH MEATBALLS FOR A FULL SANDWICH!!! Meatballs with my meatball sub would’ve been nice but instead I have to eat through half the bread by itself to even get to a meatball as the picture shows I had 4 meatballs to half of a sandwich, and as someone who orders meatball subs from everywhere I have never seen the bread on the sandwich cut all the way through which made it impossible to eat without pouring out the inside of the “sandwich” since the sauce had made the bottom bun structure-less. In conclusion pros: Meatball, Bread quality Cons: Sauce, cheese, cut bread that made it impossible to pick up and eat, lack of meatballs on a meatball sub, price, service and atmosphere

To any person wanting a great meatball sub for a lower price GO TO CAPUTOS and in less time and in a better atmosphere you will have a far superior experience than Grove market

Grove Market and Deli is not only a staple of the area, dining here is also table stakes for any Salt Lake and Utah foodie. Groves is known for monster sandwiches and unique, hard to find sauces and snacks.

I’ve had the Big John Combo, the Meatball, and the Turkey. The Big John is essentially all the meats, and it’s ginormous! It starts off as a hilarious and fun sandwich, but quickly turns in to questioning your life choices. If you get the Big John, get the half. You won’t want to save the other half for later, because again, you’ll be questioning your life choices. The Meatball sandwich is pretty good. I probably won’t order it again, but it’s worthy. The turkey has been my favorite so far. Just a good American classic with all the fixings. Next time I want to try the roasted chicken and potato salad.

The service is good. I like the employees that run this place. It’s a no-nonsense kind of establishment, so treat everyone with respect, and they’ll take care of you. Cop some attitude, and they’ll cop it back. Important to note: this is a first come, first served deli. If someone calls in an order for 20 people, then you’ll stand at the counter until the order is fulfilled. I’ve waited in line for 45 minutes just to order. Either call in your order, or be patient.

This small market and deli is one of a kind. The store is tight, it’s difficult to navigate the lanes with other patrons, and it’s far from modern. I love it! It truly is a Salt Lake staple, and I hope it’s here for another 75 years.

This place is inside of a cute mini store. There was a long line when I went and the sandwich was very big. The taste was alright, the bread was very dry though and didn’t feel that fresh. It’s how you would expect it to taste like. I got Delux and it has avocado on the very bottom. They give you peppers on the side which was a bit spicy for me. If you prefer the size over quality, you’ll like this place. There’s a place outside where you can sit down and eat.

Grove Market Deli is a mom n pop company born out of a house made into a MOST CONVENIENT store. A regular sandwich is so huge you will want to share it with your friend. They offer many different types of snacks, drinks, sandwiches, breads. They offer vegetarian options. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Seriously, if you get a sandwich for yourself, make it a half sammich or you will be enjoying it for dinner as well. The store is in a neighborhood off main street. Back in the day when it was a new house, I imagine it was very beautiful but maybe earning a living and having kids paved the way to this most special deli. Come on in and get a sammich. I got the tuna torpedo sammich. It’s not a torpedo but as HUGE as a torpedo. See the picture of my half torpedo.

Great little deli! Jake was awesome and super helpful remember the sandwiches are borderline ridiculous huge! Just think whole loaf of French bread and you get the idea. Great value for the money no doubt. Really good ingredients on the sandwiches as well. The potato salad was nothing special just Sysco product so that was a little disappointing but for the atmosphere and the staff friendliness that is easily overlooked. They had great little pastries as well so I got an eclair and it was awesome. Will come back for sure don’t miss this spot!

This place has always had great food, although that has changed a bit over the last few years. On our most recent visit, it took between 7 and 9 minutes per customer to make a sandwich. If there are three people in line in front of you, your lunch hour will barely be enough. Also after waiting 30 plus minutes to order, we were informed what we wanted to order was not available, although it was still clearly on the menu. This visit was clearly not worth it

This place is a small deli with some big sandwiches. It’s a well oiled machine and a bit intimidating if you don’t know what you want. It seems to be a staple for people on their lunch breaks. 100% worth it! I would recommend being familiar with the menu which is online and be prepared for what you want to order. Sandwiches are packed with meats and cheeses, well worth the value. My husband and I split the Italian and it was a TON of food. You order in the back and they are amazing at putting them all together well and fast. I am guessing there is always a line at lunch time, but it does move quickly. All sorts of chips and other snacks to get with your choice of sandwich. The store is stocked full of amazing deli items. If we hadn’t been flying out that day I would have made a few purchases to try. You pay upfront at the end, and there is outdoor seating.

Such incredible deli sandwiches. I had the pastrami and my wife had the BLT and they were both amazing. Best deli pastrami I’ve had, very tender and juicy. The people working the deli counter were also amazing.

Located on the corner of Main Street and Grove, Grove Market & Deli boasts to have the best deli sandwiches in Salt Lake City. While I can’t speak to all of Salt Lake City, I can say it’s one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. The sandwiches are huge and so fresh. Pro tip: order a half sandwich or share with someone you like.

Parking is available in front on Main Street or along Grove. You can carry your sandwich with you or eat on the few picnic tables in front of the building.

Definitely worth stopping for lunch.
