The DJ booth feels personal with dancing right up to the front of the booth. They only spin vinyl there and it’s really cool to get up front and watch them spin on the decks and equalizers that they have set up.
There’s two bar areas, one in the main room and one through the vault door which has its own lounge vibe with blue velvet ceilings.
There’s two “phone booths” by the bathroom that are sound proof rooms if you need to make a call, relax in the quiet space or chat with your friends and the AC in those little booths feels really good.
There’s soft serve ice cream too! Highly recommend for a night out. The people attending were amazing, beautiful and the fashion was on point.
The space itself is beautiful. The lighting and atmosphere are thoughtfully done, and the main room suggests the kind of listening experience the concept promises.
But the energy in the room didn’t match the hype. Despite the long line outside, the space felt strangely static. Very little movement, very little engagement with the music. For a hi-fi bar built around sound, the atmosphere felt flat.
Service also seemed unprepared for the demand. The drink I ordered was supposed to come with lemongrass foam, but they had already run out. Like the overall experience, it sounded more interesting than it ultimately was.
I want this place to succeed. The concept is strong and Dallas could really use a serious listening bar. Hopefully as things settle in, the programming, crowd, and execution start to live up to the potential.
